I think the big ones are all gone now. There used to be one on Trutch Island that was the telephone link to Alaska. According to the maintenance gay it would fry you if you stood in front of it. Almost missed christmas 78 rebuilding two of the generators there.
And exactly how do we know the maintenance person was gay, tax? Did you find out this information over a couple of fruity umbrella drinks?

Opps. But, in fact he is gay. Had a live in boyfriend. Fortunately we lived in what was the old bunkhouse. At one time there were about 8 families and a small camp there, but by 1978 everything was run by computer from Vancouver.6 of the houses got moved to Pt. Hardy for BC Tell crews. Just needed someone onsite to keep the generators running and some electrical maintenance.
