Let me pause, shake my head, and observe that it would appear from the way the article is written that you are assuming facts not in evidence. If I am mistaken please accept my apologies. Maybe it's just me, but the article does not appear to state that the unfortunate lady was the subject of the physical abuse committed by her sponsor. Here's what the article states:
