Someone earlier asked what the min wage is now. It is presently $8/hr, the lowest in Canada in the province with the highest cost of living. It will top out next May at $10.25 which is long overdue.
There was also mention of the employers contributions which I did not claculate in my initial analysis. I have quickly run the numbers again and the loss of profitability to Mcds will be about 5.7%. That means their $50million net profit last year would become $47,150,000. I have to stop and wipe the tears at how cose to bankrupt they will become over having to give out an extra $2.85 million in wages over the course of a year.
These are of course on rough estimates but should be close enough to make the point.
All of you that don't eat there now better start or Mcds might be bankrupt soon. LOL
