Wasn't the case when I was at STU, which only has about 3000 students. My tuition costs $5100 for a full schedule, when I compare that to similar schools in the states, some topping $30,000 for tuition, I would never be able to afford that. Is it that there are more scholarships? The earnings can't be that different from what I've heard from students on another forum I visit.

You're not looking hard enough. Here's a sample;

http://www.qc.cuny.edu/bursar/how_much.php

A resident tof New York State pays $2000 per semester for a full schedule. That's $4000 a year.

I know there are cheap schools, I was looking specifically though at agricultural universities. I suspect my living expenses would be higher in New York, also my tuition would be higher at any school in the states than it is for state residents.

It's simple, hun. Someone asked a question and people answer. It's how we do forums sometimes. Someone could ask "What's your favorite color" and get people answering. Sometimes it doesn't even take a question, sometimes it's only a comment or a news item. Can't think of a forum that isn't like that actually. ;)

no wish it was simple...if it was that simple then well this wouldn't be on a forum.

We sure are different....I don't think I know anyone who thinks it's a good idea to keep invading sovereign nations.

I'm sure we can find Canadians who think likewise, just as there are Americans who don't fit the mold.

I know lots of them, they're sniveling little dogs pissing themselves for any oportunity to lick Uncle Shams ass, there's a few in here. They see invading and murder as police work that the imperialists do because they just want what's best for the world.:laughing7::laughing7::wave:

Yes, your tuition would double not being a resident of New York State. Most Universities around the country have programs for state residents (Same in most Provinces). You mentioned cheap, I hope that didn't mean a poor education also, because Queens College has one of the highest rankings in the country academically.

If you want "cheap" you go to a public institution. If you don't give a dam, go private.

There is and should be a separation between Government actions and actually people in this discussion.

Do Liberal Canadians attachs themselves to Conservative policies as the Government changes..No they distance themselves from it....With that in mind you can;t take U.S. government policy as the will of the people.

Does every Canadian believe we should be in Afghanastan..we are..was it not a sovereign nation?

We're there so it must be the Canadain way right? duh!!

More American's disagree with G.Wya that there are Canadians in existance..

USA
While there are cultural differences, English-speaking European-Canadians are very, very similar culturally to European-Americans, some of the most similar cultures in the world. Canadians move to the US and no one can even pick them out as Canadians because they blend in so well with the rest of the population. I am almost certain it is the same situation on the other side of the border with US immigrants for the most part fitting right in to the Canadian lifestyle. The reason I think Canadians like to pretend the cultures are vastly different is because that is how they define their national identity to differentiate themselves from us. But the truth is that we have more in common with you culturally than those who are Canadian but live in immigrant ghettos (and visa versa.)
