Gerald Celente. It seems like I know him from somewhere (both the name and the face). I'll think of it in a minute.

Okay, I know where I know Celente from. He appeared on Glenn Beck's Fox News show in Feb. 2009 and made a lot of scary predictions for the US's future. For example, he said that in the year 2014, "New York City [is going to look] like Mexico City. If you have money or they think you're going to have money, you're going to be a target for a kidnapping. We're going to see major cities look like Calcutta. There is going to be the homeless, panhandlers, hookers."

Also, Stephen Colbert said Celente had just got back from terrorizing Smurf Village. Funny video:

He has been making predictions for a long time, he has devote believers as does Beck. Just thought that this G20 money crisis could develop into something serious. Were not going to give into what other countries would like to easily. New York did look like Mexico City under mayor Dinkins, so he is off a few years. :)

If you want real analysis look up a fella named Keith Black. Not the one that builds racing engines but the one who used to work for the Fed Reserve.

Makes this scarf wearing guy look like a light weight but is a valid source for real info.

Not to worry - Palin will be our Saviouress in 2012.

I would like to see either Congressman Allen West or Senator Mark Rubio both new and Republicans run for President in 2012. (If they don't fall for the same ol, same ol Washington swamp) and Cliffy you may get your wish. :)

Sorry America,
conscription here is not a popular thing and in the last war most of our men volunteered into the navy and airforce which amounted to a paid vacation.

Except this time around there is no economic motivation nor "King and Empire" patriotism.

However, one should watch out for the media campaign that will guilt trip families into denouncing their sons if they do not volunteer to die. Remember those posters --> "Daddy what did you do in the war?". Except this time around, I figure the propaganda will be more multicultural, maybe there will be pictures of Iranian Mullahs whipping starving African children? That certainty does get some people going all teary.

Solution? Appeal to regionalism. Quebec had the right idea in the 1940s. You can't be denounced as unpatriotic, if going against conscription, if you are draped in your provinces' flag and identify yourself as a provincial nationalist.

Actually many in the Arab world believe the prophesy of Nostradamus, he predicted
we would start a war in the beginning of the 21st century and it would last some 25
years or more. I am not saying I believe the ancient writings of a guy who is quoted
with the sketchiest of proof. The problem is, many in the Arab world believe it they
just believe they will win as opposed to what the predictions are.
Glen Beck is there to get radio and television listeners, and he predicts all kinds of
things. Our society is slowly going to hell in a hand basket will it get as bad as the
predictions? That is a guess at best.

Former Governor Jesse Ventura slammed the weak dollar policy as part of a war being waged on the middle class in America by the U.S. government as the greenback collapsed to an all time record low against the euro today.
Ventura made the comments before his appearance on Larry King Live last night, during which he announced he would not be running for the U.S. Senate.
“The dollar has fallen through the floor, there’s half a dozen countries now that have a higher value and more than that than us,” Ventura told The Alex Jones Show.
The former Minnesota Governor identified two key factors behind dollar devaluation – the war in Iraq and the ballooning national debt.
“It’s the exact two things that I’ve been harping on for the last 2 months and a half….we must do something about the $9 trillion dollars plus of debt we owe throughout the world,” said Ventura, adding that most people in America were unconcerned about the greenback’s spectacular plummet.
Asked why the establishment were not going to reverse the destruction of the dollar, Ventura responded, “Because I don’t think they really care, they’re making their money and they’re in their position.”
“To me it’s clear there is a war on the middle class in America today being waged by our own government – they’re out to destroy what was the American dream and the American dream was the middle class, we were the country where you could get a job and you could support your family….that’s being extinguished greatly today and it seems our illustrious elected officials don’t have a problem with it,” said Ventura.
The dollar fell to an all time record low against the euro today on the back of mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac being bailed out by the U.S. government.
The dollar declined to $1.6038 per euro, the lowest since the euro’s inception in 1999, and was at $1.6004 as of 11:13 a.m. in London, from $1.5908 in New York yesterday. The greenback also hit a 25-year low versus the Australian dollar.
Watch the full interview with Jesse Ventura below.

Just curious. What war are you talking about? If it was World War II you should check the history of the RCAF. Until the Normandy invasion most Canadian casualties were in the RCAF, and as for the navy, convoy duty in the North Atlantic was one of the most dangerous and brutal assignments of the war.

Conscription here is not a popular thing in America either, we don't have it. (all volunteer military)
I just feel that conscription would be a good thing for every nation. Give every citizen a feeling of what family and country really means. Stop leaving it to the few. What you said is a perfect example: "Appeal to regionalism. Quebec had the right idea in the 1940s. You can't be denounced as unpatriotic, if going against conscription, if you are draped in your provinces' flag and identify yourself as a provincial nationalist." You will never be a real Canadian if you are a provincial nationalist first.

Blind sided - Are we being set up for next war?

YouTube - geraldcelente's Channel

Funny. Not so long ago the right was priming us for a war on terror, now the right is preaching fear of the left/Democrats. I think I detect a pattern.
People like this are just capitalizing on our fear. I wish I had the nuts to shoot my mouth off in a baseless fashion and actualy make money at it.

There is a pattern, both sides are trying to profit from it in some form or another. Just have to sound convincing (sort of) :)

If we're going to fight another war, fine, as long as we can do it while keeping inflation, the Bank rate, and the national debt in check. Good luck with that. War is a perfect excuse for 'not being able' to do those things. After all, how can we expect the government to do these things while we're at war. never mind that the government had the option of not fighting the war in the first place.

The only way for war to profit Canada, is if we don't fight in them, like Vietnam. Canada made oodles of cash on that fiasco.
