I honestly did that to a fella who gave me a one-finger-salute driving past me in my rig, and no lie his attention was diverted enough in shock he drove off the road into the ditch.

No. It's intended to stop spammers.. I have losts of false signups from Asian, France, Germany and so on.. you have to be able to block the spammers effectively.
