Apophenia-

"the tendency to perceive a connection or meaningful pattern between unrelated or random things (such as objects or ideas)"

Nazis! Holocaust! Trains! Camps! Kidnappers!...scream the Left. But the true logic tells you that people are actually risking their lives to get IN to the United States...not OUT!

I believe the election of Trump has driven many on the Left clinically batty. I'm being serious. They've lost the ability to reason properly in their disdain for this President.

Thoughts?

I think that you are seriously disconnected from reality.

Of course, dirt poor people from Honduras are trying to cross into the USA. Dirt poor prpole are crossing into richer countries all over the planet.

The President is a bully and a liar. Remember when Obana was from Kenya and not Hawaii? That was Trump ... personally from Trump ... attacking a sitting President for ... what? being Black, probably. There are a thousand other, similar things about Trump. He is an odious man, always was. What I find disturbing is how many (probably odious themselves) followers this con nan had managed to con. He's managed to con you to, apparently.

But I know Trump is flawed. I'm not stupid.

It's the degree to which the Left takes it...connecting dots that just aren't logically there...to the point where their own credibility completely dries up.

You know, if you had used that same argument in 1938 about the ascension of Mussolini, Hitler or Tojo, you would have ended up on the "wrong side" of the evolution of our species. Trump is the same sort of man and same sort of phenomenon. He has not been able to rise to the same sort of power because of the complex checks and balances in the US system but he'd like to be that powerful, pretty clearly. We have a responsibility to fix this a before he gets out of control and starts a war or bankrupts the Western world.

There you go. You sound like a vigilante. That's exactly what I'm talking about. In America, you 'fix this' at the ballot box...or perhaps you are suggesting another way?

No, you have been deluded into thinking that it is a "left" idea by the extreme "right" that lives on this forum. I'm in the Center. Remember the Center? I thought not.

Yeah. You're in the Center like Cliffy claims to be apolitical.

No, I am really I am a fiscal conservate but also an old time progressive. The problem is that our politics have suddenly become much more extreme as we echo the dysfunction of our seriously declining next door neighbour. We have caught their diseases and your perspective is skewed.

You're the one comparing Trump to Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo...and MY perspective is skewed?

When the Left don't understand something, they get scared. They can't comprehend how a flawed individual became the leader of the free world. It doesn't jive with their Liberal indoctrination. And so they do exactly what you, Hoid, Cliffy and mentalfloss are doing...playing the 'fear card'.

It will become WW3 or the decline of the Western world unless we turf this guy. The politics of fear. And the more you exaggerate and resort to hyperbole, the stronger Trump's base becomes. Because people aren't stupid. They see right through this charade and will probably elect him for a second term. Americans are tired of years of phony platitudes with no results coming from their leaders. In Trump, they see a man of action who speaks their language. You'll see. He'll be a two-termer. The Dems have nobody to run against him anyways.

Yeah, you know, even though he gave a nice boost in funding to Historically Black Colleges and Universities. 'Cuz that's what White supremacists are known for. Talk about disconnected from reality.

And uh, the whole birther issue was started in 2004 by fringe politician, Andy Martin, in Illinois. While Clinton nor her campaign team ran with it in 2008 or 2012, some hardcore Clinton backers did.

You are the one who has shown himself to be morally and factually totally disconnected from reality, and have even given many people the gears over not following your ridiculously narcissistic centrally conceived comic book universe.

We just found out the time magazine child cover was as completely fake as the fbi investigation into their own russian collusion...and I suppose YOU are too, for spreading those BOLDFACE LIES.

We asked trump to send all the illegal immigrant MS13 punks over to your house in jokeville.
The wife and kids ought to love those "Democratic" weiners.

You won't get any cohereent ones from the left.

Certainly isn't anyone on the left.

Not necessarily so but you have had some authentic NAzIs on here.

What ever happened to Locutus, anyway?

He got tired of listening to the fascists whine.

100% agree. While I don't like Trump on a personal level or his stupid tweets, he was legally elected by the majority of Americans (despite what the elite/leftists say). The fact remains that the left (can't call them liberals because liberals used to actually stand for something, like - oh yeah, common sense) are besides themselves because Trump (surprisingly) has actually done some of the things he said he'd do.

Rather than working with him to perhaps tone down the rhetoric and/or encourage compromise on various issues or solutions, they squeal like little piggies that he's a mean, awful person. Name calling (i.e. Hitler, fascist et al) has been their calling card. Way to go guys - lots will be accomplished by that and I'm sure America will be able to move forward using those tactics - NOT.

But more and more I believe that is really what they want - chaos. The best interests of America is not upper most in their minds and the people who are following them are simply pawns in the globalists plans. George Soros and his ilk are behind this
movement to destroy what has been accomplished in both of our countries. So, you are completely correct when you say that their ability to "reason" is non existent.
