Couldn't possibly have anything to do with the circumstances of the times in which it was written could it. I prefer the Sermon on the Mount. Some of those teachings are positive. IMO.

No, they did not go to Hell; they went to Paradise or Heaven; in the Gospel: it is the kingdom of heaven.
Those who will go to Hell are not Jesus or Moses, but their enemies: the enemies of God.

Today, I read this in the Quran interpretation 2: 161-162, which means:

{ 161. Surely, those who disbelieve [in the Quran] until they die being disbelievers, on them is the curse of God, and of angels and of all mankind a.

162. They will abide in the [Fire b forever.] Their punishment will not be commuted, nor will they be reprieved c.}

a That is because believers curse disbelievers in the life of the World and in the Next Life, while the rest of people will curse them on Doomsday.
b The Fire is not mentioned here, because it was mentioned in the aya 126.

Funny you should say that. Reading these old books has done exactly that and there isn't a day goes by that I am not thinking in the terms prescribed therein. Light is God. Once you have the reached the inherant wisdom of the cucumber the bug and the bird you can rest on the beach and wait for the eternal tide.

Similarities and derivation of names is not any proof.
Of course the language has words and derivation, but Jesus Christ came and was rejected and persecuted.
And other claims are only illusions without any proof.
God is the Creator of the sun and everything in the universe.
God is not us; but we are the creatures created by God the Creator: Who is not the sun neither is He ourselves.
