The religious authority in Saudi Arabia responded aggressively to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s annual message Sept. 5 in which Khamenei attacked the Saudi government against the backdrop of the disputes between both states that culminated in forbidding Iranian pilgrims from the hajj this year. Iran also accused Saudi Arabia of negligence in managing the hajj, which led to the deaths of more than 760 people and injuries to around 1,000 in 2015.

Although Sheikh was addressing the Iranian political regime, his choice of words and the context of his response gave the impression that he was targeting Iranian Shiites in general. He used the pronoun “they” in his reply to the message of Khamenei, who is only one of many Iranians. He also focused on Zoroastrianism, the historical religion of Iranians before Islam, and his reference to historical enmity with Sunnis is further proof that the international media got the story right — this was an attack on Iranian Shiites in general.

This Sunni/Shia dispute has left millions of bodies scattered across the Middle East.. and its spreading, to a community near you.

I was speaking with respect to what the Saudis said. I believe, for them, it is purely a matter of 'stop rocking the boat'. I think it has little or nothing to do with religion. There is money to be made. Don't spoil things.

One has to be careful not to destabilize that part of the world. It's chaotic there, but still manageable. It's for our own good. Despite Europe not having learned the lesson of accepting people from that region, and now having to deal with the turmoil, I believe the big guns can keep things in check.

In this case, we should keep most of our eggs in one basket. Should there ever be a need to 'repair' the basket, most of the weave is in one place. What we have to get a handle on is the stuff that drips out of the bottom and onto us.

It's The European market they are squabbling over.

This is what Ecofascism has created.

EU needs green NG and this is a war to be thar supplier.

BC just happens to have billions of cubic feet of green NG. Just the greenies don't want us to sell it.

What concerns me is what happens should that region collapse. History tells us that mass migration happens after any cataclysmic event. Managing to find balance is important, I think. Not for their well being, but for ours.

I only wish. This is the 21st century. Land travel would still be the primary escape route, but many would find ways to flee farther than Africa or Turkey, and then into Eastern Europe. I think Putin may have some concerns with that, an the location of his oilfields. I also believe that is much of the reason that the US and Russia have worked out that ceasefire agreement.

The big players may finally have found a way in, so that they can keep an eye on things. Strange bedfellows.

I realize that you mentioned the eastern EU, but as a whole, Europe is handling the presage poorly. Putin is far more likely to put his foot down than Obama, or, dare I say it, Mr. Trump. All of Europe must be secured, so that the mess is contained to the Middle East. It also makes any future action easier.

Decisive action must be taken quickly. As I've said for years, you have to be in the pigpen to clean it up.

Bill installed them in the balkans
so if he can trust white Muzzies in the balkans
that means we can not

"The disaster that Bill Clinton created in Bosnia by backing Muslims against the Serbs has now become next front for the Islamic State (ISIS) Caliphate
Two decades later Bosnia is still suffering the consequences. ISIS has declared the Balkans the next front for the Islamic Caliphate, and in remote mountain villages, Muslims are already flying the ISIS flag."

These clowns are installed, and religion is not what they are really all about:
Unless you count pure unadulterated financial extremism as a religion

Just like british and dutch oil created the wasabis, and the obama clinton coalition created isUS....
