Anti-Vaxxers - if you don't trust the medical field to prevent you from COVID, why do you trust them to cure you from COVID?

You say you are 'relatively young' then add 'I've basically worked my ass off my entire life to earn the privilege of paying into a system that to this point everyone else uses.'

So you've basically contributed squat to the Health care System compared to someone near retirement age. You just hung yourself with your own words. So your opinion carries very little weight.

Not necessarily true . One could be nearing retirement age after a live of below average earnings while another is earning abnormally high at a young age . It is how much not how long .

I normally appreciate your perspective, but in this case I have to say you sound like a complete lunatic. What's next....obese diabetics should just fucking die? Smokers, pot smokers and anyone who drinks should just die? People who are found negligent or responsible for car crashes should just die? If anyone who makes "the wrong decisions" should be denied health care, the morgues are going to be busy.

I fall into a demographic which makes me at incredibly low risk for serious complications from covid. I'm healthy, no underlying medical conditions, and relatively young. Is the risk zero? No. Is the risk ever zero for anything in life? No. I have made a very deliberate and conscious decision after weighing all of the information currently available not to get the vaccine. This isn't written in stone, maybe I'll get it in 6 months, maybe I won't. This was never about 100% vaccinations anyhow, 70% was the threshold to reach herd immunity. This narrative has flip flopped and changed just like "2 weeks to flatten the curve" and literally every other fucking narrative since this began.

I'm not an "anti-vaxxer", I have had every vaccination since childhood. Hell I even got a tetanus shot a few months ago. So stop with the silly "antivaxer" bullshit. It's a canard...a transparent false dichotomy intended to insult and bully people into making the decision you want them to. It's embarrasingly childish and it should be beneath you.

You want to draw lines in the sand? go for it, just make sure it's for the right reason. And if you want to deny me healthcare because I didn't make the decision that the government is trying to pressure me into making and that you don't like, then don't ask me for another single fucking dime for taxes to contribute to our "free" heath care system. I rarely use it anyhow, I take care of myself unlike about 75% of the rest of the population. So I guess I've basically worked my ass off my entire life to earn the privilege of paying into a system that to this point everyone else uses. Maybe instead of using your childish tactics to force me to inject something into me that I don't want to, you should just say fucking thank you.

Northern Ontario,
Before deciding to take the vaccine I asked my doctor an the next door neighbour who happens to be a nurse if I should take the vaccine.
They both told me the same thing..
They were not going to tell me what to do, but they were both taking the shot.
And they suggested if we decided to go ahead that We take them from the porcupine health unit because they would be going to issue certificates once this is over!

I'm sorry I got your Millennial mini-skirt all in knots. I called you on your bullshit and you got angry. Not my fault if you don't understand how basic taxation works.

Honestly dude makes a good point

And I think hosipitals should start doing this

You get COVID19 and need care? First question "Are you vaccinated" If the answer is no, second question "Do you have valid medical reason to not be vaccinated?" Answer no?

Fuck it, let them die in the hallway focus on the people who aren't dumbasses. Our doctors and nurses can only do so much and its time we draw a line in the sand.
It really boggles my mind how so many people can base their opinions on a false premise! I have two grand daughters (otherwise normal people) who do the same thing!
