This is why old growth needs to be logged and replaced with young vibrant forests that absorb carbon.Canada's forests actually emit more carbon than they absorb — despite what you've heard on Facebook
Our managed forest land hasn't been a net carbon sink since 2001...

It's a robbery in slow motion.
Great way to transfer wealth from workers to government. SOme of them are so stupid they think it is a good idea.....& how's that working out for BC?

The toilet paper market is that strong or is it an economy based on illegal activity?best economy in Canada
After the 70km rolling parking lot aka Hwy 1 trying cross the Fraser finally got a decent bridge emissions dropped. And they've only dropped just that one time.....& how's that working out for BC?
No the NDP cancelled that project upon gaining legislative control of the house . To many liberal friendly risings south of the Fraser .After the 70km rolling parking lot aka Hwy 1 trying cross the Fraser finally got a decent bridge emissions dropped. And they've only dropped just that one time.
Next emissions drop will be the new Deas tunnel or bridge.
Not happy with $1.50L gasoline made in Washington with Canadian oil? Wait 2 months it'll be $1.75L
What makes you think you won't be paying the same taxes on electricity that now pay on gasoline?
What? No bridge, no tunnel on 99? WTF?No the NDP cancelled that project upon gaining legislative control of the house . To many liberal friendly risings south of the Fraser .
“Twenty-nineteen is really the base year, so I think the reports in 2020 and ongoing will really tell the story of how we're doing,” Duncan said.
Duncan said they may have to revise certain benchmarks.
Looking at emissions associated with the oil sector, emissions have dropped. The baseline in the report is 10.8 metric tonnes of CO2 equivalent (MtCO2E) in 2015. In 2018, the sector saw 9.1 MTCO2E. The goal is to reach 6.4 MTCO2E by 2025.

However, the oil sector saw major declines in production starting in 2015 when the price of oil declined.
The province had 3,613 oil and gas wells in 2014, which fell to 1,820 the next year with the price drop. As of the end of 2018 the amount of wells grew to 2,554.

Its that damn booming BC economy and budget surplus that are ruining all their plansBest way to meet the rediculous emmissions targets. Make it so no one can get around and crash the economy. BC Dippers are not satisfied with just harming Alberta's economy they want to kill ours as well.
They have plans to replace the Pattello of course that bridge is between NDP ridings . Although I agree the Pattello needs replacing the tunnel has more traffic and is more needed . Unfortunately when in construction old WAC Bennett ran out of money and scaled back the project from 4 lanes each way back to the current 2 .What? No bridge, no tunnel on 99? WTF?
It's still the 1967 Centennial "hooray for us" infrastructure on 99 and 1 out past Rangrey. Alex Fraser is a bridge to nowhere. The antique riveted iron of Queensboro is falling apart faster than the Patullo and it's funky oscellations that make any white guy look like they can dance. I'd rather fly in a max 8 than cross either narrows.
I think the NDP is praying for a quake.
Yes if you live on Vancouver Island there are two choices government or service . All those cruise ships and airplanes bringing in tourists is great for our carbon footprint as they do not count in the calculations .BC has had a service-based economy for many years now.
Construction and gas are strong but they do not drive this BC.
