The election is not about the economy- sarcasm noted- It is about division. By both parties.
Ever since the evangelicals took over the Republican party it's been a complete joke.

As most of you well know, I'm a big supporter of the GLBT community. However, if they are not denying services to those who are members of that community, they are not discriminating. Ethically speaking, I'm opposed to the views expressed and I believe they've taken a service/business and, by making personal views so well known, have politicized their business. Which, to my way of looking at things, is stupid. Yes, they may gain some support and business from like minded individuals, but they could lose just as many. Not a way, in my opinion to operate a business. They also are now running into a huge counter campaign from the GLBT community. They asked for it, they got it.

But they should not be denied license to operate simply because of their views. It's no different than allowing the KKK a rally permit at a city park. They have a right to gather the same as everyone else. I hate that they do it, I hate the idea that there are enough people with that mindset around to form a rally. Just like I hate the idea that there are, in my opinion, still people with their heads stuck so far up their own ass that someone else's choice for a life partner is somehow personally threatening to them.

As far as where they donate funds, personally I'd rather have it all out in the open because then I can make an informed consumer choice based on my own ethics.

The question to be asked is does his views affect hiring GLBT persons.

The question to be asked is does his views affect hiring GLBT persons.

And he's opened it all up to those questions by being so public with his views. He asked for it, in my opinion.

Having said that, until it's actually proven that discrimination has occurred, nothing can nor should be done to interfere with his business operations.

Karma Man will bring harmony for those Reds- Wonder where the Red came from. Not.

So people using religious beliefs to opress people is fine with you. Then you should have no problem with Sharia law- Islamists and such. I mean fair is fair now ain't it?

When archaeologists in the next millenium study the decline and fall of the American Empire, one of the contributing factors they will discover is right-wing worrying about the sexuality of others. Walter, which way do you swing?

Whose expense?
Finding it a triumph that one group excludes a minority group, even if the minority group has no bearing whatsoever on their own lives.. it's freakin disgusting. Triumph on the right is all about greed. Economic greed, social greed, healthcare greed.. bringing others down just to make another quick buck (or for no reason at all, like marriage). It's sickening. It seems to be a Republican supporter these days one has to be a bigot. How can you guys stand yourselves anymore?

The CEO of the company stated his opinion (which was the president's opinion a few weeks ago) and the left wanted to restrict his ability to carry on with his business because they disagreed with his opinion. Seems the left is the bigotted and intolerant side.

Bull****. The guys a bigot like the rest of the right. Who in their right mind would give a **** if a gay couple got married? It's ignoramic nonsense supported by idiots like this fast food asshole.

Once the bigots get fed I'm sure he'll see business drop as time goes on and will declare bankruptcy in 4 or 5 years.

Of course the notion is ignorant nonsense, with that I completely agree. Two people who choose to marry and co-habitate have absolutely no impact on any one else's life at all. But bigot like the rest of the right? That's way too generalized of a statement. I've known many individuals who are conservative/right wing or even very devout Christians who do not encompass such views, let alone actively campaign against it.

Once the bigots get fed I'm sure he'll see business drop as time goes on and will declare bankruptcy in 4 or 5 years.
And this is why he's slit his own throat. Eventually it will catch up to him, I'm sure of it. There may be a surge of 'support' right now, but future franchisee's will have to take into account whether or not they want to take on the battle. I do believe that will have some impact on decision making. Which franchise opportunity would the average person who just wants an investment/business opportunity choose; the one where the name of the chain is synonymous with political discord or the one without that burden? I've already read of one account of a current franchise owner who is trying to distance himself from the growing uproar, by, as a counter to all the furor, publicly sponsoring the local Pride Festival.

The general manager of New Hampshire’s only Chick-fil-A franchise reacted to the controversy by becoming a sponsor of the state’s gay pride festival slated for Aug. 11.
The restaurant in a Nashua shopping mall “has gay employees and serves gay customers with honor, dignity and respect,” general manager Anthony Picolia said in a statement released by the organizers of New Hampshire Pride Fest.
“I would challenge people to come have a conversation with me before they make assumptions or boycott my restaurant,” he said.

After being lambated by the left for saying he doesn't believe in homosexual marriage, and havng the mayors of Boston and Chicago saying that his stores are not welcome iin their cities, a massive show of support is happening for Chik-fil-A owner Dan Cathy. In some cities the local Wendy's are telling customers to support Chik-fil-A today instead of ordering from Wendy's. Wonder if the MSM will cover this story.
