Not the worst area like the notorious Jane Finch either

Still and all Toronto can't wait to ape the worst of our uber-violent southern neighbours and this is where it leads them.

Condolences to the families of the innocent deceased.

You should have said the Mayor Tory wants to ape…….

He is the one that pushed the sanctuary city BS, stopped the carding, etc. etc. you know, things that make a community safe? And he's the one that will continue to push the feds to take away guns from law abiding citizens because after all, they're the problem!! Why didn't you know that he states that 50% of the guns used in crime were from legal owners? Wow eh? We've really got an epidemic. The problem is he can't support is statistics and is too stupid the read up on the crime states easily gotten from Stats Canada - oh no - lets make this really sensational and accuse Canadians of being just like the U.S.

Talk about morons! He's right up there!

My condolences to the families affected and hopefully cooler heads will prevail and the border will close up to the gang bangers - you know, the guys actually responsible for the crime spree we're seeing. Didn't the US warn Canadian officials about MS 13? Guess who didn't listen?

As spectacular and horrible as it is, the violent crime rate in Toronto is still 1/10th of that of the same sized Chcago. It is also still lower than that of any city West of the Man-Ont border. It could happen in YOUR town any old time.

Our universal health care system does not recognize or address mental illness, many end up in a compromising situation where they serve as a target for police weapons. Just as damning maybe even more damning innocents also die before cops can fell their target.
Hug a thug tory like justyn live in fear of a thug being offended by a cop asking a simple question of them. Case in point not a thug rather a hamilton city council member claimed he was 'psychologically detained' by a cop asking about his welfare. Mr. green was not a threat to others but his disdain for police authority in his position is bad news. If our mental health care system was functional mr green could possibly get help.

Considering the state of affairs in all large cities part of the solution might be to send some people out into the country where it is 'lonely enough' that you are actually happy to see another person come into view. That quality seems to be lost where people are in big numbers and next to fuk all to do with their hands.

If it is a hardship on the family then send everybody along with the 'troubled one'. 5 years in WhiteLaw AB might not make it to the #1 place to send people nut even here it raised eyebrows when mentioned anywhere in public.

What SSRIs WAS this one on?

Mayor John Tory believes Sunday night's shooting is "evidence of a gun problem" in Toronto.
"Guns are too readily available to too many people," Tory told reporters during a news conference two hours after the shooting took place.

I don't see the word "LEGAL" in that quote.
In an open carry society he would have got off 1 or 2 shots at best rather than it being akin to shooting fish in a barrel.
