I see it was a difficult question for you. I can't say I'm surprised
There was a question in that?
I thought that it was more of your uninformed and useless grandstanding that you mistake for an actual contribution

Of course you neglect to mention that most civil servants need not worry about being reelected and could care less what the public wants. Sorta like you.
"Specialize in the justice system" You mean like lawyers?
"Defined criteria met" yeah right. Sadly you believe anything government and political science teachers squirt out onto you. Definitely the type who should be living next door to a short term recently released murderer.

hey buddy... did you miss the part where, for the last almost 10 years, those appointments have been maid by the Harper Conservative Minister of Safety... you know, a cabinet minister from your favoured Harper Conservative party. Is there a problem here? Cause if so, how are you so "down with the new proposal" that puts that "Throw Away the Key" decision making directly into the hands of the same Minister? You really need to think these things through and get your story straight, hey! And yes, there are defined criteria that potential parole board members are evaluated against... care to offer your insight into how that criteria was arrived at... where it comes from?
heh.
Yep, as soon as you tell us how much you would love to live next to the recently (and early) released murderer, how about the one who cut the head off on the bus. Real good at deflection you are, too bad it is so obvious.
As for those appointments, they're made by the related Public Safety minister based on the defined criteria met..
such a simpleton you are! You may as well be the boards spelling nazi... you're clearly not up to the moderator's role!
what deflection? You're all over the map; you're so flustered over having your contradictions highlighted, you can't keep your posts together! Clearly, Harper is playing more of his 'politics of fear' game just for guys like you... and you're luvin it!
Letting them out isn't cheap.
It's cheaper then leaving them in but hey, let's not allow facts to cloud your judgementr
Facts? You facts? Lies aren't facts f-ck face.
Tory bill has nothing to do with Tories confirmed.
In all fairness, they probably meant John Tory.

If they are not a risk to re-offend, then I have no problem living beside them. Straw man arguments seldom work you know. I don't think anybody is promoting allowing dangerous people to walk free. The disagreement is in the definition of dangerous. I've seen little evidence that the risk from those who have been released into society is significant enough that the taxpayers should instead incarcerate them for their entire life. Your irrational fears do not constitute evidence btw.
