And your opinion is? Huron College should open up its Islam course, or shut it down

The only "agenda" that I can really see on the schools side is that they wanted the course to proceed as it was intended in the first place.

Then they should not have accepted him.
How did they find so much info about this man? Think on that one
Why was there a sudden influx to attend and no room available?
6 students did not want a non Muslim attending.
Sudden interest in the course that was well advertised.
The syllabus you posted was the new one? Where is the original?
7 Students, how many signed up- no numbers on that- Was the Prof overwhelmed?
The College bent so not to offend Muslims.
Catering to special interests is much different than the Duty to Accommodate.

What exactly are you talking about here?

The complete sequence- I have laid it all out.
I have no issue with a persons religion - I have no issue with gay rights- I have no issue with the Duty to Accommodate- may disagree from time to time - I do have an issue with a College that bent over to avoid a conflict with Muslims that when you read what the course was about, was open to all.
And that is exactly how I see this.
You see one thing, I see another.

This seems to have nothing to do with the comment that I quoted.

I will try again, since you phrase it in a way that makes it seem like you think it is important.

What on earth are you talking about here? What information are you referring to?

Why he was auditing the course. If there were only 6 students, 1 auditor, why was there an influx of students applying, Why was the syllabus changed?
From the article.
Watson then appealed to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) who is charged with equity issues and offering help to students filing complaints. There he met a frosty reception. Not only, according to Watson, did the CAO support the exclusion, he told Watson that they were changing the course syllabus “because of me.” On Jan. 6, as handed out in the first class, the syllabus stated that it aimed to improve the skills and knowledge of those “engaging in public speaking about Islam.” But that was being changed – and by Jan. 30 was changed – to “engaging in public speaking about Islam on behalf of Muslim communities” (emphasis mine). Naturally, the changed syllabus automatically excluded Watson and all non-Muslims.

How exactly does that address the question I asked?

What information about him are you talking about?

Publicly funded school, every course should be open to everyone and anyone that meets the admission criteria. Changing the rules after the game has started does not sit well. If they were concerned about this a$$hats motivation, then they should have just waited till his true colours came out and then just kicked him out of class.
