Say what?! 8O
What do you mean what, that is their confession, it is being proven, video w/ sound and everything. Makes the actual trial so much quicker the Judge/jury get some HDDVD's of all the facts of the case, retire the court for viewing (few days if sequestered) and then sentencing. Total court time 2 hrs.

8O yourself ........ distractions can't hurt a thread that is 'solved'. So the distraction is missionary aid, how extensive will it be. What should their aid to those children look like? Now that they are off are they going to continue looking for orphans or take aid to the survivors so they can care for the orphans themselves. No doubt many parents are without their own children , given the means to care for orphaned they might make ideal substitutes that would be geared to a teacher/student roles rather than the parent/child one. The age difference should be great enough that they would be considered at l generation apart. Several teens/young adults might be persuaded to care for the frail and the elderly vial incentives like wages and a home quicker than some.

The Churches in the Southern US might approve a one time massive housing project if it solved wind and quake damage for the next 100 years. The cost is recaptured via sales to people in other parts of the world for similar designs. Korean shipyards might be able punch out the containers so once emptied of their cargo they convert to mobile home frames.

You`re quite an astute chap with that prediction thar Cleatus!!

Whats your prediction for those poor buggers held captive in Iran....the three American hikers?
It might take a tad more persuading than bribary getting those guys home.

Those Americans will be there in prison for years. Iran is not Haiti. Haitian government wanted US aid for disaster relief, Iranian government hates USA with a passion. I expect they will be there for years.

And unlike Haitian case (where the motives of Americans were not really evil), here these Americans were out just for a lark, and their arrogance did them in.

You seem to be quite excited about this predicted outcome Eaglesnack with your repeated `I told you so`s`.
Hopefully they`ve learned a lesson throughout this ordeal....which I doubt given the average American`s memory span.

Nah, they are just letting them go...just like I said they would.

Yeah...good point.

I wonder if they'll get to keep the orphans. That would be a hoot.
Stuck with 30 orphans for life, there go the profits on that deal, it will probably bankrupt the Church giving protection to the 'Haitian 33" from the Media till they reach 21. All to save a few bucks (or make a few). Where did those idiots come from ??? .... what ......... never mind, seems they have been identified

Not a chance, they are lucky to get out of Haiti without serving long prison sentences. Their purpose in taking the orphans was to brain wash them into Fundamentalism, to turn them into good, loyal little Republicans. I don’t see Haitian government supplying them fodder for their experiments.

Well, perhaps. But after they become 21 and get jobs, they will regularly pay tithe to the church, will be at the beck and call of the clergy and above all will loyally vote Republican for years to come. It was supposed to be a long term investment.

As to bankrupting the church, American Fundamentalists have deep pockets; it will be no trouble at all for them to raise a few million dollars for their upkeep.

No they haven't, their mission is world evangelization. They will try again, in another poor country.
