Unbelievable isn't it? I just heard about it on the radio. OMG when is it going to end?
It isn't. They will just continue.......and be followed by the same empty words ......It would mean an entire mindset change........and they are just too ingrained now. Guns are part of them, their lives.......and they cannot see living without them.........and they consider these incidents......just as casualties.......that happen. If they made a serious attempt to limit the gun sales or actively remove the more lethal ones........they would revolt.

That... that right there.

It would mean an entire mindset change.

That's why you'll never see things to deal with mass shooting end in the US. While there are those who are, slowly, changing their mindset, it's not quick enough. There will always be those who need their security blankets against everyone else not them.

8 new Texas laws that loosen gun restrictions, starting Sept. 1

Firearm access expands at churches, schools, rental properties and in disasters

SAN ANTONIO - The Texas Legislature passed a slew of laws this year that will ease restrictions on guns, including allowing firearms in public places like schools and churches, on rented and leased property and during disasters.
The NRA hailed the gun laws passed as "highly successful," while Texas Gun Sense, a nonprofit that advocates for reducing gun violence, said the laws "will make schools and communities less safe."

Texas lawmakers, who met at the Capitol this year from January to May, expanded gun access and added money for mental health and school safety in response to the Sutherland Springs shooting and the Sante Fe high school shooting.
Many elected officials, including a handful of state lawmakers from San Antonio and the City Council, have asked Governor Greg Abbott to call a special session in response to the deadly shooting in El Paso. But Abbott has so far said he has no plans of doing so — instead, he launched a Texas Safety Commission to hash out policy proposals for the future.
(The Texas Legislature meets every other year and won't meet again to create or repeal state laws until 2021, unless Abbott calls a special session.)

Collective/ Cluster insanity. the cycle of violence is ensured
deregulation is Trump's favorite word......and objective.

Makes t a total mockery of " thoughts and prayers". or "our heartfelt...whatever ) These are just standard issue slogans now. The US is not only dangerous......but slightly mad too.

It is what happens when your politicians are bought and sold on the open market. Voting down there is a waste of time because the billionaires and industries own most, if not all, of the politicians.
It's not much better up here, either, just a different bunch of puppet masters with a slightly different agenda.

Texas shooting death toll rises to 7, AP reports

The gunman on Saturday had fled a traffic stop, hijacked a mail truck, then opened fire indiscriminately on drivers and pedestrians in the west Texas cities of Odessa and Midland. He was shot and killed at a movie theater in Odessa. It was the second mass shooting in Texas in less than a month.

Texas target practice.
It is a wonder that they let them have guns.

......wait: it is their RIGHT to own GUNS........as many and as lethal as they want. The more guns , the more manly(testosterone deficiency??)........and more "safe" they "feel"

Something is seriously out of whack ....

..No......it isn't. It is the NORM.

This whole story is the fakest of news.

Everyone knows that Texas has both the Death Penalty and Concealed Carry - either one of which prevents mass shootings.

Together they have made Texas the safest place on Earth

3 hours after the latest mass shooting in Texas a series of new laws takes effect to make it easier to own and carry firearms in that state.
