From watching the news, it looks to me that they're using this guy and his criminal record as a diversionary tactic.

They have very little or nothing to go on, but are under intense public scrutiny to show progress in the case.

Cops at times develop tunnel vision in their investigations, and the pressure to show results causes massive miscarriages and justice.

Do you show the whole table your cards when playing poker?

I'll stand by my assessment until there's an indication otherwise. I say the assault was committed by someone else.

Like?

Too early to assume they are dead! Do we know all there is to know about the grand parents? I believe in miracles. Sadly I believe they are dead but there's lots of burning questions that haven't been answered. From what we've heard there was blood. Blood produces D.N.A., so it should have been determined if it belongs to these victims. If the suspect is guilty there's a good chance there is blood in that vehicle. I think there is more than one perpetrator. J.M.H.O.

in my heart, they are dead, I held out hope right up until Friday when they started the search, then it began to wain with each news report...if they are alive...who has them and for what purpose?

it's hard to hold three people, one of them being a small child and the male is old but he fought so he is hard to control...it's too hard to keep people that fight

there has been no ransom note, they have not said any of their vehicles were missing

the only hitch is, where are the bodies...they have to find them fast

also why have they arrested him for some long ago crime...I think they just need to keep tabs on him and have easy access to him, they needed a legit reason but they didn't have one, so they let him go and kept digging... they will press him, over and over...

yup... they are dead...

Before this is over I think we are going to see much more than what we're seeing so far. They've just touched the tip of the iceberg. We don't even know what the motive is yet!

It's been a week. They'll find them in the slough.

A particular slough? There will be wheel tracks leading to the edge of the slough, unless it's such they can be dropped off a bridge into the slough. They have dogs on the property. If they don't find something there very soon, there's nothing to be found there.

we don't know anything except;

  1. they are missing,
  2. the amber alert continues,
  3. someone fought like blazes at the house,
  4. they have arrested someone for a previous crime who is attached to the property they are searching and they are calling him a person of interest

that's it but it is significant

yes, of course there will be more...they can't tell us more or it compromises the evidence, and leads it could be years before we know more

Tracks? After a week in prairie grass? Seriously?

5. There is an indirect link to the victims.
