Having SAR teams trampling a crime scene is pointless. They aren't alive. They'd just destroy evidence.
yes...in the news conference they danced around the question, reporters then asked are they still alive and of course they said they hold out every hope but really, what else can they say...they have no bodies

of course everyone still hopes they are alive, but after 48 hours the odds decrease incrementally per hour, this guy needs to tell and end this sham and further suffering

the public is always involved in grid searches when searching for the missing...there is never enough man power and time to not use public assistance...hell they even use adolescents, every available person in the community is used ...here they have ten units of police...ten...and no public involvement...

they have removed items of interest, my guess would be the items were from the estate

thus they are looking for evidence and they are where they need to be but he could have dropped those bodies in a radius that is simply massive

I think the searches you are thinking of are searches where a young child or older mentally confused person wanders off and is lost and there is no criminal involvement perceived. In those cases there is one goal only, find the person, here they are looking for a number of things and the average Joe off the street might not know what is significant and what they'd just be wasting their time with. Not only that but the searchers may themselves be dropping stuff that the person behind them deems to be important. If they got the general public involved in this within half an hour they would just have one gigantic f**k up on their hands. -:)

One thing I am quite sure of the cops know already if the blood at the scene belongs to one of the three victims or not! As things sit right now I'd guess there's a 70% chance they are all dead.

I think you are missing what Pete and I are saying...they are not looking for people...they are looking for evidence

:p
If they are smart I'd think they are looking for both.
I would say looking for them is a given...lol...never mind

hopefully the ambulance is for something more than a staff heart attack or collapse

Ambulance??????????????? You've lost me!
they have rushed an ambulance and two fire trucks to the scene but police will not say why...apparently some roads are also closed off

From what I've heard and seen around here, everywhere the ambulance attends the fire truck goes as well. But at least we know there are at least some live bodies.

Ambulances will pick up dead bodies too. Not to be pessimisstic but...

I think it was likely an accident...as Petros said "jib rat"

things got out of control and he panicked and it went from bad to fukin' worse

most likely. I'm still going to be hopeful that for some reason they've been abducted or something.

yeah.

I just can't bring myself to think the worst yet.
I thought the worst as soon as the search began last week at the farm...I would so dearly love to be wrong on this one...

check out this comment though:

Police spokesperson Kevin Brookwell didn’t divulge details, but he told reporters Tuesday that investigators are optimistic that Nathan O’Brien and his grandparents, Kathy and Alvin Liknes, will be found alive.

that's a pretty bold statement...so keep hoping Twila
