A Harper majority means…

A higher standard of medicine for the rich and a lower standard for the poor

Major tax reductions for the rich

Global warming will be completely ignored

Defund scientific research

Defund the arts (goodbye CBC TV, CBC Radio, NFB, etc.)

Hello capital punishment, restrictions on abortion, unrestrained capitalism
this what you get with a majority Concervative!

I don't see what is so difficult to understand - you should never vote to re-elect a government. You really don't want to reward a bunch of people who treat you like idiots. At the very least, give a new crop a chance to prove themselves different.

Fine if you know what you are getting is going to be better, but neither one of the apes has convinced me that is the case.

Now?

Tell me Colpy....when did they start calling it Climate Change and stop calling it Global Warming?

Struggle to answer now.

Maybe we should know what it is before we get too hung up about what it's named.

Yup - anyone who isn't in government currently. Pick one, any one.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, you mean like take a shot in the dark!

I have NO idea.....and I couldn't care less.

It's very clear you have no idea about any of it....you've shown that over and over again. Which is why you just scurried away from that obtuse statement you made earlier.

You couldn't care less because in ten years you'll likely be dead and are only to happy to saddle this problem on to the next generations.

Maybe we should know what it is before we get too hung up about what it's named.

We already know, it's climate change caused by anthropogenic global warming.

Bull****.

I have NO idea, because I don't give a crap, because it does NOT matter.

First of all, I am not sure that "climate change" is the result of human activity.

Secondly, I know that whether or not "climate change" is the result of human activity, oil will remain the life's blood of civilization for decades to come.

Thirdly, even if I drank the Gore Kool-aid, swallowed it whole, as it were, I know that if Canada ceased ALL production, and we all froze to death next winter, so that the nation and its people ceased to exist.....we would lower world-wide GHG emissions by....2%.

Fourth....climate changes, it always has changed, it always will change....deal with it. Mankind rules because of his adaptability...ADAPT, dammit.

The symbol of our stupidity is not that we are failing to sacrifice our civilization on the Alter of Al Gore's con job and giving up fossil fuels immediately...........the symbol of our stupidity is that we rebuilt New Orleans in the same place........

I don't like a government that treats us as idiots. That's why I wouldn't vote Liberal under Chretien, and I won't vote Conservative this time. Harper had his chance to show his stuff, and he did. To his discredit, in my opinion.

Well said! Ten penny thats what we need to do look at the facts! I voted Harper in now I also will vote him out

Gee whiz, you almost made it halfway without mentioning Gore.

You clearly have done zero research on something you think you know about.

I even treid to help you out by giving you some links.

Gald to see you gave them a look.

Predicting the event is fairly safe, predicting the time is a little dodgy.

My predictions are based on hope.

You forgot to mention, that before the area is over, there would be social unrest in the streets.
Harper and his social conservatives made up of the religious fundamentalists would see this
country back in the 1950's you know back in that simpler time that never existed. The political
climate in this country would see one thing though, when the next election came the voter
turnout would be overwhelming, like it was for the destruction of Lyin' Brian.
I don't thing Harper will get his majority and at the present time I am not sure Harper will even win.
There is a slow change happening in the land. people view the election from numbers and polls
and we learned before that, that is not he case in this country. How will the splits come in a number
of riding's, how will the popular vote numbers change and where? When all is said and done,
we could see a very different parliament than we anticipate. I have seen a lot of upsets and different
outcomes over the years. If Canadians really think about the future Harper who is a political cousin
of W will be short lived. If Harper doesn't win a majority his day in the sun is over, as is Iggy and
Jack. Ms May is never going to have a day in the sun so we scarcely need to mention her but like a
thorn she is there. I think we will end up with much the same as now.
Atlantic Canada, not much there for the conservatives
Quebec less than they have now
Ontario I don't see too much to be gained for Harper
Prairies Things will stay much the same as now
BC It could be that the Conservatives lose a couple

the problem is no one else will make substantial gains either and the result will be what we basically
have with a few new faces to curse at in the coming years.
