So how is that Green New Deal coming along? I have not heard much about it since the Democrats whined and cried about actually having to vote on it.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., recently moved into a luxury apartment complex in Washington, D.C. that does not offer the affordable housing units that were a key plank in the New York congresswoman’s campaign platform.
The freshman congresswoman, a self-described socialist, campaigned on a platform to expand affordable housing, and her controversial Green New Deal proposal promises “Safe, affordable, adequate housing” for all.
But Ocasio-Cortez’s new building — built by leading D.C. developer WC Smith — is part of a luxury complex whose owners specifically do not offer affordable units under Washington, D.C.’s Affordable Dwelling Units program.
In 2018, a civil rights attorney sued the Washington, D.C. government for allegedly discriminatory gentrification policies, claiming that development in Navy Yard area and other parts of southeast D.C. encouraged an influx of affluent “millennial creatives” who displaced minority residents.

Yes indeed. I've been to the Navy Yard. The place is beautiful. There is a high presence of law enforcement and private security.

Democratic darling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez celebrated the demise of Amazon’s plan to build a second headquarters in New York City.
But what’s a politician if not a raging hypocrite?
During the self-proclaimed democratic socialist’s congressional campaign last year, she spent a whopping $12,000 on Amazon, including $400 on chalk, the New York Daily News reports.
AOC — as she’s known among fans — also played a key role in the e-commerce giant pulling out of the planned Big Apple headquarters.
According to some proponents, that cost New York $4 billion in lost wages, 25,000 in lost jobs and another $12 billion in “lost economic activity”.

“Today was the day a group of dedicated, everyday New Yorkers and their neighbours defeated Amazon’s corporate greed, its worker exploitation, and the power of the richest man in the world,” she tweeted as the deal sank.
AOC and other opponents were furious that the city and state used $ billion in tax incentives to get Amazon to open in Gotham.
They also took exception to Amazon’s perceived anti-union reputation.
But none of that mattered during the election.
According to the News, Federal Election Commission finance records show Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign used Amazon’s services at least 68 times between April and October.
Most of the charges listed were for “supplies.”
One conservative group has voiced their displeasure with the neophyte congresswoman in a Times Square billboard.
It reads: “Thanks For Nothing, AOC!”
Her office did not return calls to the Daily News.

$12K worth of purchases through Amazon... once again, For Thee Not For She.
She actually believes that there is a $3 Billion surplus now to invest in education and infrastructure. I am sure by now people have to explain to her the facts.
The area where Amazon was going to build their second HQ is an area of dilapidated buildings on a run down waterfront. And now that is what it will remain, another area of urban blight.
