High unemployment in Alberta will help out BC construction.
We are perpetually short of tradesmen because of the oil fields.
Because of the oil fields or BC is a shitty place to live?
I thought it was because a first year apprentice in BC can make more money as a laborer in Alberta than he can as a tradesman in BC.You're perpetually short of tradesman because your dumbass teachers have pushed university instead of trade schools for far too many years.
That has always been the case in BC. Not just Alberta either. A labourer in BC makes more than most apprentices.I thought it was because a first year apprentice in BC can make more money as a laborer in Alberta than he can as a tradesman in BC.
You learn something new every day.
Without defining the criteria you're using for "legitimacy."I did say legitimately.

We have also killed the cruise business , the convention trade and air travel . Our forestry sector is reeling and the natural gas pipeline is stopped by the courts . Yup we have lots to feel superior about .Ironic that flossy speaks of AB needing to diversify when his own home province is having their own difficulties (pretty big ones) and they were 'diversified'... Seems that they regulated themselves into have-not status through electing a bunch of heavy spending do-gooders that crushed their core industries
Oil is dead you know ?It's a pretty sad state of affairs when the average person is so myopic in focusing on the minutae that they are entirely unable to see the forest through the trees
This is terrible . Why they just can’t keep up . Canada’s deficit projection went from a paltry twenty billion all the way up to two hundred and twenty billion . That hissing sound is your purchasing power leaking out of your wallet .![]()
"Alberta's budget deficit this year may triple from $7 billion to almost $20 billion," the premier said, adding that we will soon face "a great fiscal reckoning."
This isn't an exaggeration.
Instead of a modest surplus by 2022, we may see a deficit of more than $9 billion.
Let that sink in. After four years of significant spending restraint, we're on track for a larger deficit than the one we started with.
