Well Ger I could say I am not getting into a pissing contest with you.
I could say that you go out of your way to insult people who offered none to you.
I could say that ya really gotta think that something is wrong when someone prides themselves on being an a-sshole.
Well I will not say any of that.

You just did. Guess you aren't even smart enough to follow your own advice.

I doubt it would fill the cenotaphs. Hasn't worked at the cenotaph near my place.

You have two, apparently separate, disagreements. You see no reason for Remembrance Day to be a stat holiday and if it were you would rather it be in the summer.

The best reason for Remembrance Day to be a stat is because it already has meaning. People observe it and people care about it. No one cares about Victoria Day. We can pick holidays to just give people days off, or we can pick holidays to have meaning (and give people a day off). There is no limitation to the number of stat holidays we have. We could have Remembrance Day and throw in another summer holiday to keep you happy. I don't see why you insist on taking issue with Remembrance Day not being the summer, but let's assume a stat in November somehow deprives the summer of some yet-decided stat and make a trade. Since you like your summer holidays, let's move New Years to August, because who cares what day we change the year over on? Then let's cancel Christmas and make Remembrance Day a stat. That way, you have your summer stat, we have a new stat with national importance and real meaning, and we do away with those close together pointless winter holidays.

Nothing to sweat about, Corduroy, you are not dealing with rational thought here!:)

Still can't come up with anything concerning the topic I see.
So your point was rebutted and you were in error.
Now we see this.
And wonder this.
Your insults relate to the topic? If so how?

Show me where my "point" was rebutted, because really, I don't think you understood my point from the beginning.

So if malls must close on stats what about the corner store? Or the restaurants about town? Don't their employees deserve the same treatment? How about the bartender at the legion? Shouldn't he/she be entitled to Rememberance day off? And bus drivers,

How about just passing a law that says employees don't have to work a stat if they don't wish to? That way the stores/malls can stay open or not as they please and customers can go shopping or not as they please. The worst that could happen is employers might have to raise the wage for working stats.
