There should be no laws against abortion, no laws against (adult) prostitution, no laws against drug use, no laws against what you can read or look at, and no laws against private sexual acts.
In Canada, and in most of the world, there are way too many stupid laws based on "morality" which end up causing far more harm than good.
The only laws we really need are those against harming other people. Most of the rest of the laws we have are bad ones that actually hurt the people they claim to protect.

Gee..I dunno know...maybe before the girl decides to go to school dance, and excuses herself and has the baby in the can...tosses it in the garbage can and bogies on...yes yes...this is a much better solution...to bad somebody found the baby......she could have danced on and no one would have been the wiser...

Abortion is not as black and white as "are we killing a baby and is that right?", even though conservatives like to make it like that.
Social circumstances dictate that there are going to be cases where abortions are necessary. If the jackasses in Ottawa worked to improve those social circumstances, perhaps then the need for abortion would be greatly reduced. Instead of funnelling hundreds of millions to their friends, why couldn't the Liberals funnell tens of millions to helping teenage mothers financially with their pregnancy and aftermath of taking care of the baby?
