How could He keep his word, if they were lead to the tree of life then they would not have died. (nor does it say that tree had any fruit at that time).
God doesn't repent the things He says, depending on which view He has of anybody, like me and you, we get what we deserve, now just think of what the ones He disapproves of will be saying about Him.

That's all perfectly easy to comprehend. What's hard to comprehend is how evil done in the name of religion is somehow never its fault, it's people acting outside the guidelines or rules, or perverting it somehow, or misunderstanding it, or something. You always find a way to duck it, leaving the church blameless. That seems fundamentally dishonest to me. The church is nothing without the people who belong to it. People sanctified by the church, acting officially in its name, mean the church IS at fault for evil done in its name.
When a person who says they are a Christian and they do things that are against what Jesus said they should do, I would think liar would be a better term, don't you?
Have I ever said they shouldn't face justice? I don't find the 'heads of the Church' blameless, if they promote (even hatred) things they shouldn't be, the people of the Church should revolt. To pin everything on religion certainly allows politicians off the hook doesn't it?
Those two Laws are pretty simple to understand, if the larger group (than you) is saying something different and you go along because it is the bigger group you are just a coward.
The Church is a great instrument to curse others (by bending Scripture), but when they teach wrong is right they are sealing their own fates, good, they will get what they deserve.

Just what I've read, he maybe having a fine time right now, well...no sense boring you with the rest of the story.
You should have picked up the movie, the Hobbit is separate from the rings trilogy.
