Apparently LIE-berals think we are all wage slaves living on Tara- because all our money is Gone With The Wind!

Here is another article illustrating yet MORE questionable judgement from the LIE-berals who are bankrupting our nation with their greed and fiscal insanity-with some comments of my own in brackets):

The Ontario Provincial Police have launched another investigation into allegations that provincial government officials illegally destroyed documents concerning an aborted contract to supply electricity to the provincial grid.

This time, it's a green-energy contract with a company that builds wind farms.

A previous investigation into the disappearance of files, in the last days of Dalton McGuinty's premiership, about the decisions to cancel two gas-fired generating stations has already led to charges against McGuinty's then-chief of staff, David Livingston, and his deputy, Laura Miller. They are charged with breach of trust, mischief in relation to data and misuse of a computer system. Both of them deny any wrongdoing and are awaiting trial. McGuinty himself was never the subject of any investigation.

This investigation is new.

"An investigation was launched after allegations were made by a third-party vendor, Trillium Power Energy Corp.," OPP Det.-Supt. David Truax said in response to questions from this newspaper. The vendor made a formal complaint and the police examined it and found it worthy of a full exploration, which has been underway for a couple of weeks. Truax did not say whether the investigation had a specific target.

"The investigation is being led by a major-case manager from the criminal investigation branch of the OPP," Truax said. "The investigative team will be comprised by members of the anti-rackets branch as well as the technological crime unit."

Truax wouldn't confirm any potential connection to the Livingston and Miller case. Trillium claims in its court filing that its project got caught up in the same electoral worry before the 2011 election that led the McGuinty government to cancel the two gas plants. Those two gas plants, in Oakville and in Mississauga, were locally unpopular and might have put Liberal-held seats at risk. Ultimately McGuinty won a third term with a minority.

The cost of the gas-plant cancellations ballooned from an early estimate of $40 million to about $1 billion, according to the provincial auditor-general, once you factor in all the ripple effects.

Trillium's allegation against the government arose in the middle of a gigantic civil lawsuit it filed over a moratorium the government put on wind-energy projects on the Great Lakes in early 2011. Trillium was working on five such projects, including one in Lake Ontario, more than 25 kilometres off Kingston, that would have been the biggest in Canada.

The company was on the brink of signing a financing deal when the province decided to halt all such projects for further scientific study. The company sued for $2.25 billion, alleging that the decision was political, not scientific, meant to appease voters living close to completely separate wind projects on Lake Huron and Lake Erie.

(Stupid LIE-berals! They knew all along that the wind farms were HUGELY unpopular and knew also from various court cases that some people appear uniquely susceptible to health trouble from the noise of the turbines but LIE-berals rammed ahead till they hit the rock of public hostility. LIE-berals do as they please till an election rolls around and then PANIC and try to un-do their arrogance!)

As it sought documents from the provincial government to build its case, Trillium's lawyer Morris Cooper said in an interview, Trillium found a hole in the archives where documents related to Trillium’s contract with the province should have been.

“We discovered that in fact the documents that one would expect from the premier’s office or the cabinet office were not there,” Cooper said. "We noticed the pattern was they were only produced if other ministries were on the paper trail.”

Ultimately the courts threw out most of Trillium’s legal claims; the government has a lot of freedom to make and change policy decisions, even if people suffer as a result. But a claim for $500 million in damages from “misfeasance in public office” remains (over allegations the government deliberately timed its moratorium on Great Lakes wind projects to ruin Trillium so badly it couldn't afford to sue) and now Trillium has added one for “spoliation,” destroying documents relevant to the case. Neither has been tried in court yet.

(That sounds about right-roughly one third of all Mp`s and MPP`s are lawyers and would therefore be good at gaming the legal system! Just too bad utterly arrogant LIE-berals keep getting caught out!)

The government compensated the builders for the gas plants it cancelled. It didn’t compensate Trillium. The company filed its lawsuit in September 2011.

(The gas plants were in the middle of town and easily seen-the proposed Trillium job was off shore and not visible-with LIE0berals anything that is out of sight is out of mind as well! Just like that now forgotten lawsuit against Conservative Hudak for enraging LIE-berals by telling the truth about the gas plants! )

In defending itself against Trillium's civil case, the government filed court papers saying that no files related to the deal were “intentionally” destroyed.

Cooper alleged that Trillium-related documents disappeared in February 2013 at the same time as the files relating to the decision to cancel the gas plants.

(Oh nice-maybe it was OPP who took the papers? Sloppy cops are now apparently being blamed by LIE-berals?)

The investigation that led to the Livingston and Miller charges took the OPP’s anti-rackets branch 2 1/2 years. This one is just getting started.

"This type of investigation will involve the interviewing of witnesses, involved persons. It will involve an extensive review of documentation, both in electronic and hardcopy formats. I’m not able to speculate how long it might take to conduct this kind of investigation," Truax said.

Premier Kathleen Wynne's spokeswoman Jennifer Beaudry said the premier's office is unaware of the investigation. Livingston's defence lawyer Fredrick Schumann said the same, and so did Miller's lawyer Scott Hutchison. Hutchison, in particular, said he expected Crown prosecutors would have to tell him about any new investigation involving his client.

The defence lawyers haven't heard about the investigation from the Crown because prosecutors haven't yet heard about it from the police, said the prosecutor leading the cases against Livingston and Miller.

"The Crown has not received any disclosure to review in relation to this new investigation," Richard Roy said from Montreal.

But, he said, "I do expect that after these phone calls I will have to have this discussion with Mr. Hutchison."

Besides the Livingston-Miller case, and this new Trillium case, the OPP have a longstanding investigation into improprieties at the province's ORNGE air-ambulance service, and one into alleged Elections Act violations by senior Liberals in trying to get parachute candidate Glenn Thibeault the Liberal nomination in a Sudbury byelection. Criminal charges against Sudbury Liberal powerbroker Gerry Lougheed over that nomination were stayed by the Crown last week.

Since taking office, Wynne has passed legislation stiffening penalties for government workers who destroy important records.

(Nice showmanship there from LIE-berals-stiffer penalties for wrong doing-but what LIE-berals staffers do is NEVER WRONG! So penalties are useless! Welcome to the LIE-beral Twilight Zone!)

It’s funny how esteem for the Paris climate accord has grown since it was signed in December 2015.

Back then it was seen as a weak, political document filled with meaningless promises, diplomatic compromises and dubious science. Yet now that U.S. President Donald Trump has withdrawn his country from the accord, you would think the Paris agreement had descended, wrapped in gold, from a shimmering cloud.

The Paris accord isn’t close to being a binding agreement. Nor is it based much on science.

It has no hard-and-fast emission-reduction targets: Governments set their own targets based on what they think they can get away with voters or what they think they have to give up to shut up the environmental lobby- which is huge and extremely well-funded- and its media pals.

For instance, in Paris, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau committed Canada to reducing its emissions to 30% below 2005 levels by 2030.

There is no way for us to do that without crippling our economy and putting millions out of work. That kind of emissions cut would require the equivalent of parking every car, truck, airplane, bus and train in the country – permanently – or shutting down every factory and non-nuclear power plant.

(And can you imagine the screaming if civil service Hogs were FORCED OFF grossly polluting airplanes- so no more holidays in the sun for them! And got charged heavy taxes for the privilege of ripping up the environment on their gas guzzling ATV`s and ski-doos! Or were forbidden to use those riding lawn mowers that spew more carbon in five minutes than a modern car on the highway running thirty minutes- how could Sunshine List Hogs maintain their 3 or 5 or 10 acre estates without those piggy machines? Or the Hog rage on display if they then had to ride over crowded public transit to work just like ordinary peasants?)

Not gonna happen. But fear not, the Paris accord gives the UN no power by which to enforce our promised reductions or punish our failure.

So how then can the UN claim adherence to Paris will keep global temperatures from rising more than 1.5°C? The same way Al Capone could claim he made a meagre middle-class income while pocketing millions annually from bootleg liquor: creative accounting.

As Tim Kruger of Oxford University’s geo-engineering program pointed out in London’s Guardian paper in April 2016, all of the models that show the Paris accord stopping climate change are based on “massive deployment” of biomass energy coupled with technology to capture the carbon dioxide that will be created and “sequestering” it in the ground.

But the technology for neither of those – neither mass energy generation from biomass (burning wood chips, seaweed, cornstalks, etc.) nor mass carbon sequestration – exists yet on a large enough scale. And there is no evidence on the horizon it is coming, either.

(With the added bonus that nobody really knows if carbon sequestering underground will work in the long term! Who says it wont cost more to pump carbon dioxide into the rocks than we will be saving- since its never been done before on a large scale- and with NO long term studies for effectiveness!)

Furthermore, biomass burning to create electricity produces about one-quarter more carbon dioxide and vastly more aerial solids than burning coal. So it is entirely possible that if the Paris accord is applied before the technology exists to use biomass more cleanly, adhering to Paris will actually make climate change worse.

(Ontari-owe LIE-berals have already converted a coal burning electric generating station in the Thunder Bay area to burn `biomass` instead. Too bad there is NO North American supplier and LIE-berals have arranged to ship biomass in from Europe- with a HUGE carbon foot print and with electricity from that plant now costing TWENTY FIVE TIMES MORE than for natural gas fired plants! But LIE-berals DID save SIXTY civil service Hog jobs and that is the whole point- to produce MORE Hog gravy and screw the tax payers and the dirty air! LIE-berals assure us that they are looking for a North American supplier of biomass- which translates into some LIE-beral friend getting a GREAT LONG TERM DEAL at our expense!)

(A year after Our idiot Boy Justin was elected- our resident airhead David Suzuki was moved to call Trudope rude names for being a fake environmentalist as Our idiot Boy had taken NO action on environment in his first year in office!)


As Kruger pointed out, “There is a distinct lack of evidence to determine whether (biomass and carbon capture) are technically feasible, economically affordable, environmentally benign, socially acceptable and politically viable.” Yet the whole of the Paris accord is based on these magic-wand technologies appearing in the next decade or two on such a grand scale that they can save the planet.

(Certainly the pubic is vastly hostile to incineration of garbage- which is basically what biomass is- all sorts of scrap paper, packing crates and anything else burnable stuffed into a furnace to boil water and spin turbines and such burning has a habit of producing dioxin and other lethally dangerous chemicals so nobody wants to live down wind from a plant! And the REPEATED failures of the new Durham Region incinerator facility at the south end of Courtice Rd suggest LIE-berals are handing out FAKE NEWS about biomass! And public perception of the facility is NOT being helped by the number of secret `in camera` meetings between govt and facility builders and operators to discuss the unacceptable levels of pollution belching out the stacks- WAY BEYOND claimed design parameters!
In its first couple of years operation the plant has been repeatedly partially or fully shut down for “upgrades” in an effort to make it perform according to the advertising!)

Since Paris is a largely toothless, rhetorical symbol – and not a legally binding treaty – might it have been wiser for Trump and the U.S. to take the easy way; play the Paris game and pretend to be committed the way the Chinese are?

Maybe. I commend the U.S. president for his honesty and political courage in dumping the pretentious, moralistic, socialist document.

The hysterical reaction to Trump’s move, though, shows how much more importance “progressives” place on appearances over of results. Former U.S. President Barack Obama even popped his retired head up to insist his successor had “turned his back on the future.”

(Our idiot Boy Justin has shown us what Paris Accord is really about- as he has ALREADY committed us to buying two billion dollars worth of carbon credits- nebulous things that Paris Accord socialists DEMAND that all western nations purchase from the third world as the price of pollution- with NO way to actually measure the benefit of carbon credits! In fact- there is ample evidence that buying carbon credits will worsen our air as the billions of dollars being transferred will allow for MORE pollution and larger carbon footprints in unregulated third world countries!)

Oh, please, the Paris accord was such a sham that U.S. withdrawal will do nothing to rescue or destroy Earth.

Free Expression Is Slipping Away

Free expression is democracy. Without it, political choice is a farce. You can have all the elections you want and they will mean nothing without the secure right to express, share information and advocate for your views. But the boundaries of these rights of citizenship are always vulnerable, and right now, political, technological and commercial forces are converging into a chilling anti-freedom force.

Canada's federal government has been no friend of the right to know since Prime Minister Stephen Harper came to power. It was a shock back in 2008 when Linda Keen, then president of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, was fired for publicly disclosing safety concerns and refusing to restart the Chalk River nuclear reactor. This doesn't surprise us now because being terminated for speaking out has become routine in Canada's civil service.

(This is TYPICAL of the crap LIE-berals spout about Harper! Linda Keen was fired because she was in charge when Atomic Energy Canada knuckleheads tried and failed to build a replacement for the worn out Chalk River reactor that produces 1/3 of the worlds medical isotopes! And she was in charge when the old reactor pretty much collapsed from old age and jeopardized that flow of isotope sales to the world! Stupid Hogs spent hundreds of millions of dollars to build a rats nest of pipes that will never produce a single isotope- with tax payers on the hook for all of it!)

Remember Canadian diplomat Richard Colvin, whose credibility was attacked by the government in 2009 for exposing the fact that the Canadian military was turning over Afghan detainees to torture? Then there's Sylvie Therrien, who got the axe in 2013 for revealing that Employment Insurance investigators had to meet a quota of savings by denying EI applicants their benefits.

(And what else would our little battle group do with enemy soldiers? We certainly did not want to build a prison camp here to hold them indefinitely! And wd CAN THANK LIE-beral Jean Chretien for throwing us into that mess! And denying EU applicants is not so hard if you pay attention to details- like the Sikh gang that had a batch of false ID`s and were collecting multiple payments in a method that is commonly and legally referred to as FRAUD! Civil service Hogs are NOT being pressed to deny people- they are being pressed to PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR JOBS AND CATCH FRAUD!)

The public service has got the message loud and clear. Everyone knows they will keep quiet or pay with their jobs.

In another realm, access to public information has never been more restricted. In one stark example, Kevin Page, then parliamentary budget officer, couldn't get government departments to release details about spending cuts they were implementing to meet federal budget guidelines. In another, during the last federal election, Conservative candidates running for public office were instructed not to make themselves available for interviews with the media.

(NO spending information? Gosh- are you sure you aint talking about Ontari-owe LIE-beral who got caught out claiming ten billion dollars of teacher pension money as a GOVT ASSET in 2016! Wynne-bag LIE-berals were FORCED- thanks to their sleazy accounting tactics being exposed- to revise their deficit UP by ten billion dollars!)

By now, lack of access to elected politicians and government officials has become the new normal. Even the gathering of research by government to inform public policy has been undermined, be it through defunding scientific research, deregulating environmental assessments or ending the collection of important population data. Those producing and disseminating independent research unpopular with those in power have been targeted relentlessly.

(Maybe we should discuss the war between Ontari-owe LIE-berals and their own auditor general? She says they have lied about smart meters and about electricity price gouging and LIE-berals say she doesnt know what she is talking about? Yet it is LIE-beals that hired auditor Bonnie Lysysk away from her post as chief auditor at Manitoba Hydro! Did LIE-berals figure she was too dumb to find the skeletons in their closet? Or did they figure that they could intimidate her into silence over whatever she might find?)

(The scale and scope of LIE-beral difficulties with auditor Lysyk is so bad that they have called her rude names in exchange for her report of screwups at a pedestrian bridge in Pickering that was built upside down! LIE-berals call their chosen auditor incompetent to judge the bridge contract mess- IN SPITE of a metroland newspaper article quoting the disgraced bridge builder as admitting that they had never built a bridge before and that the bridge they bid on was so badly designed that it could not be built as designed! But HOW could they put a price on it if it could not be built? And if it was not built upside down then why was the first contractor FIRED and a new contractor brought in to rectify messes made by the first contractor? Is Lysyk wrong or are LIE-beals hiding gross corruption? And since that brand new bridge built in Nippising has been closed as unsafe mere months after being built one has to wonder about LIE-berals- that Nipissing bridge was built by a Spanish company that has reportedly never built a bridge in a country where frost heaving of foundations is a factor!. Add in the scandal connected to bridges over 401 that had been incorrectly welded and thus would not hold the designed weight and it seems we should thank Lysysk for exposing these LIE-beral messes!)

It hasn't been pretty. We all have watched Ottawa's culture of secrecy become an international scandal over the muzzling of government scientists. Civil society organizations researching missing and murdered Aboriginal women, and so many other poverty and social justice organizations, have been systematically defunded. Other high-profile non-governmental organizations have been subjected to costly CRA audits, including venerable NGOs like the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and PEN Canada.

(Oh my- LIE-berals do so enjoy writing their fiction! Scientists were muzzled for whining about their lack of gravy and trying to embarrass govt! And when Trudope was elected prime minister, HE FIRED MANY of them as un-needed! Why muzzle when you can FIRE? And one has only to look at the road show disaster that is the LIE-beral Inquiry into Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women to understand that Conservatives were wise not to get involved as there is no new information and no resolution of this issue!)

(As for NGO agencies interfering in Cdn politics using funds supplied by foreigners- why should we tolerate that interference in our national affairs? Why should we let Yankee `super pac` political lobbiysists work with that airhead Suzuki to shut down Alberta tar sands so that California La Brea tar sands
will become more valuable? And how is it that Suzuki has complained that Our idiot Boy Justin is a FAKE environmentalist a full year after the idiot took power!)

(Why should we let Muslim groups use political influence on behalf of terror groups like Hamas and Hezzbollah? And Our idiot Boy Justin has already RESTORED FUNDING to Hamas and Hezzbollah! So much for an even handed approach in the Middle East? Or anyplace else that attracts LIE-beral hypocrites!)

It is business as usual to see members of the government using McCarthy-style "red scare" language when referring to highly credible environmental organizations like the Pembina Institute, the David Suzuki Foundation and Environmental Defence, which often confront government climate inaction with fact-based research. Characterizations about groups with "radical ideological agendas" funded by "foreign special-interest groups" are ho-hum typical. And that is why the word "advocacy" is not spoken louder than a whisper across the not-for-profit world.

(The Suzuki Foundaion HAS ADMITTED receiving millions of dollars in grants from those Yankee super-pac groups and sees NO reason to apologize for helping foreigners BUY Cdn political policy! FEW Cdns dispute global warming- we just do not think LIE-berals should use it as an excuse to loot our economy and BUY Hog votes so they can cling to power at any price! In addition, Cdns do NOT want to see charity groups taking selfish advantage of our generosity and using fund dishonestly! And many Cdns are dismayed that Our idiot Boy would RESUME supplying Cdn funding to Terror groups like Hamas and Hezzbollah!)

At the same time, the government raises barriers to information we have a right to access, and it has pointed a microscope at our lives, allowing for the untold collection of data that it constitutionally has no right to possess.

(It is LIE-berals that insist on creating web sites like the now disgraced Mydemocracy.ca to seek our opinion on their vote rigging electoral reform scam! The one that requires you to input enough personal information that LIE-berals can- with a little effort -identify you and where you live- with the added bonus that if you live in an area strongly against LIE-beral scams you may be PUNISHED in various ways- such as reduced govt transfer payments, less hospital services and etc! LIE-berals DO NOT have clean hands on any of this!)

We live in a time where we, as unique individuals -- what we say, oan internet ur movements, to whom we speak -- are an open book to whoever is resourced enough to go digging for such information. We are trackable through cellphones, social media, security cameras, drones. Samsung Smart TVs can even transmit our living room conversations to third parties. The end of privacy keeps popping up with every click of a mouse. You are asleep at the wheel if you don't see the danger.

More bad news: in January 2015, the Snowden files confirmed that Canada's leading surveillance agency was running a spying initiative in 2012. Dubbed LEVITATION, it monitored up to 15 million downloads daily from popular websites used to share videos, photos, music and other files.

(Considering the level of Muslim terror activity in the world- and how many illegals and other sketchy persons LIE-berals have allowed into Canada it seems foolish to complain about govt tracking terror cells! Onwe has only to think of the 2 Muslims planning to derail a Via train off the Highland Creek Bridge - radicalized Cdn Aaron Driver who blew himself up in a taxi with his home made bomb as cops closed in- thanks to an internet tip off! When the enemy LIVES AMONG US- thansk to incredibly UNWISE LIRE-beral immigration policy- then the cops MUST watch `us`- with LIE-berals pretending that Muslim citizens are no more dangerous than other Cdns!)

How has that information gathering taken root and blossomed in the technological and funding advances over the last three years? No one outside the security establishment shadow world knows anything for sure. But what Snowden has revealed -- now in a searchable database form, the Snowden Archive --is that the technological potential for the government to secretly collect and store mountains of personal information is exploding. The more entrenched these practices become, the more difficult it is to roll them back and protect our citizenship rights.

(WE still have LOTS of rights- but the one right we want REPEALED is the right- granted by LIE-berals to terrorists to live amongst us while they plan and carry out attacks against us without worrying about police oversight!)

Good luck if you are an immigrant and you send money home to support a person in a place that is a battleground today.

(And what of the money sent “home” to fund terror organizations? That money is NOT innocent!)

Or maybe you care to sign petitions or otherwise oppose the policies of the government of the day.

Environmental organizers, like ForestEthics co-founder Tzeporah Berman, say they are experiencing donor chill because people are afraid that even giving money will make them a government target. And that is not far-fetched -- even before the government tabled the new anti-terrorist Bill C-51, the RCMP was tagging anti-pipeline activists as potential targets.

(People who plan to use illegal means to shut down legal business ARE criminals!)

The reality is that we are losing ground right now. The only way this issue will stay visible is if there is a sustained national public outcry. Like all of us, free expression needs exercise to stay healthy. CJFE is committed to staying in this fight for the long run. We all need to get active.

(Sigh- it is ONLY LIE-berals who are losing ground! Their sunny ways are growing stormy as their many failed policies and utterly muddled philosophy are relentlessly exposed!)
