You just might be right. Things seem to have hit a tipping point. IF things do turn around into being an effective gov't......it will be done by the Republicans doing what they did today......join forces with the dems to work on the Health care issue. The other factor will be Kelly.......If he can organize that bunch into something that resembles an efficient , competent, and effective organization...............then there is hope. The BIG variable is TRUMP and whether he will continue to usurp his own staff , undermine his plans with his crazy conduct.
Once the dust settles from all the changes in personnel......... we shall see what it all looks like and how it behaves.

That is not surprising. I've been watching US politics for 40 years and I cannot ever recall a president actually threatening Congress. The rats on the USS Trump are beginning to head for the decks.

Walter, I think you can only cut Trump slack for so long. While I recognize his strong points and good ideas you can't run a country by being an incessant shit disturber, he needs to change his ways which will require counselling of some sort!
The current Liberal government is trying to repeal the only criminal code section (Section 176) that serves as a deterrent against willfully interrupting, stopping or breaking up a faith assembly including baptisms, mass, funerals, and many other religious assemblies.
This proposed amendment comes as part of the new Bill C-51 introduced by the Liberals this June (not to be confused with the Conservative C-51).
According to Statistics Canada, over a third of reported hate crimes in Canada were motivated by hatred of a religion, and thus repealing Section 176 would remove valuable protection for faith leaders and assemblies.
