It took me a few years to get to like the Beatles. I think I was a bit older that most of their fans, but I eventually came around.
I have fifteen albums......you remember albums.....They're round and flat and you hit people who scratch them.....

You can say that again sister!

I repeat. Just blame Yoko. ;)

It was quite the step down in musical partners wasn't it?

I've love the Beatles since I was a kid, I was only 2 when they broke up. And I've had them on vinyl, on cassette, on CD and now digital.

The certainly went their own ways philosophically. George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord" is an example.

A song off the Help album, "The Night Before" is one that brings more memories back of my youth than just about any other song. I was four years old when it came out and I can still remember my brother putting on the record player a lot.

There's a lot of music in that link. Thank you.

My favourite 'Yoko' story is from Ronnie Hawkins who, having had John and Yoko as overnight guests, woke up to Yoko "singing" in the kitchen. I believe he likened the sound to one he was accustomed to as a boy growing up on the farm; castration of hogs. LOL
Their relationship, is the foundation of my belief, prolonged use of controlled substances, diminishes ones cognitive skills.

"Power of love" isn't what immediately comes to mind when I hear a sound akin to that of a cat being beaten to death with another cat.

No, me neither. But they say that love is deaf, dumb and blind. Perhaps this is proof?

Personally I've always found the sound to more akin to 'cat on the manifold in January'.

So you weren't paying close attention to Hank Thompson!

Perhaps. But I can still hear SCB fart.

Hmmm, yes, true, but that usually ends with a flopping thud sound.

Yoko hasn't flopped and thudded yet.

Might be just wishful thinking on my part then.

And it's still the most horrendous sound I can think of, which is why it reminds me of her.
