Wsn't it written on the cup "Coffee his freaking hot" plus arent there supposed to be a lid on it when you buy one?

As for the anti piracy witch hunt, its retarded, does it really deprive them of money, when its been proven that sales of CDs and DVDs is unaffected,as for the "file sharing" of movies on the net, some of the movies are old and impossible to find in stores or sites like amazons, same goes for tv shows, old and recent.

In fact, the entertainment industry has never been doing better (The Sky Is Rising: The Entertainment Industry Is Large & Growing... Not Shrinking | Techdirt) but that is not how these people think.

They do not see it as a question of, "Should the government be stopping people from making copies." They take it for granted because it is their "property." Most songs and movies which are downloaded would not have resulted in a sale, but people have never been spending more on music and movies. It is not in the interests of society to force this type of artificial scarcity anymore.

That's the one I saw, a while back. Getting the 'other side of the story' made a difference on how I viewed the whole thing, that's for sure.

Spilling hot coffee on yourself should not require extensive skin grafts. I saw the pictures, those burns were really bad.
And maybe at the age she was,i'd guess like the bones, her skin got weaker, and easy to burn,if the coffee was so hot,it would have burned inside the mouth of anyone drinking it.

It's been a while since I've seen it but I do remember them showing court documents of prior complaints (injuries that were more minor in comparison) and then it showed the internal memo of McD's (also in the court documents) showing the required standing temperature. I don't remember what it was exactly but it was quite high.

Obviously something that's being served as a beverage should not be hot enough to require skin grafts if it was spilled on the skin.

What if someone mixed faranheit and celcius, kind like what happen in the 1980s with the famous Gimly glider.

Sharing music is like stealing the same way flying a plane over someone's land is trespassing.

We were in the Marines together so maybe that explains it. Oh and he shaves strokes off his golf score card as well.

Sounds like a win-at-all-costs kind of guy. That's not a particularly admirable trait to have in my opinion.

I thought Canada had a copyright act of some sort.

I doubt this guy would have got tried if all he did was download 31 songs for free. He shared them to others. No doubt somebody he shared to ratted him out. But the record companies like to try and convict the little guys as a form of intimidation. Generally works. Of the $1 you pay at iTunes, probably 10 cents goes to Apple, 10 cents goes to the artist. The record company execs (with no musical talent) get the 80 cents.

That is really screwed up. The artist should get far more of the profit than a stinking record exec. That is probably why a lot of the artists don't care as much as they could about MP3s and the like.

It doesn't matter how many songs are god or bad it is Stealing plain and simple.
Would you care if someone stole your car whether or not it had a stereo in it?
No you'd be ticked because someone stole your car.
If you don't want the CD don't buy it, if you want the one or two songs the price
is 20 bucks.
