Isn't that what conservatives go to the voting booth for?
Lest we forget.
From 1993 to 2005 a minimum of $100 million of taxpayers dollars was stolen by the Liberal Party of Canada under John Chretien.
The taxpayers moneys was funneled into front companies(mainly advertizing agencies headquartered in Quebec).
The money then flowed back into private Liberal Party of Canada slush fund accounts.
Chretien (then the Prime Minister of Canada) did everything in his power to stall, obfuscate and outright kill any and all investigations into the series of massive thefts.
Police chiefs were threatened, Federal publication bans enforced, the media was threatened with Federal lawsuits, people were coerced, threatend and ultimately fired.
Sheila Frazer then Auditor General of Canada was under enormous pressure from the Prime Ministers office to shut up and walk away.
She stuck to her guns and firmly stated that over $100 million dollars was missing from Canadian accounts.
Prime Minister Chretien continued to fight any and all investigations tooth and nail.
When it became glaringly obvious to the entire population of Canada that the Government of Canada under Prime Minister John Chretien had commited a series of massive thefts the then Finanance Minister Paul Martin organized an internal coup(within the Liberal Party of Canada) and removed John Chretien from power.
Out of pure spite John Chretien then "**** the Liberal bed and pissed on the pillow" by changing national campaign funding rules in order to cripple the Liberal party and vastly assist the opposing Conservative Party of Canada.
Under then PM Paul Martin a criminal investigation was launched.
Everyone involved lawyered up, the advertising front companies evaporated.
Shredding became a round the clock team sport across Ontario and Quebec.
Two pitiful flunkies were found guilty of theft and went to jail.
One million of the $100 million was recovered.
No party in Canada will ever again be able to match the vast sums of misappropriated and outright stolen money achevied by the Liberal Party of Canada.
