Well, one thing's for sure -- if a war does break out you can bet your bottom dollar that some right wingers will say, "BLAME CLINTON!"
Hmmm... interesting. So it may be a good thing to start a nuclear war to counter the effects of global warming.
I mean we are in a PLANETARY EMERGENCY so drastic measures must be taken!

Apparently the OP hasn't learned not to set definite dates for catastrophes. The first rule of global conspiracies that will end the planet is always to have the "h" hour well outside of your own lifetime, and for that matter, your critics lifetimes. You know, just in case you are horribly wrong about things.

Well, war must be closer today than it was yesterday. I haven't started to build my shelter yet but I am reviewing the plans. I still haven't perfected a way to keep the neighbours out once they realize my eccentricity is actually genius. Gosh, it seems strange to finally be close to the end.

if it was that important, "tptb" would've banned cutting down any tree for a start... but, there's no money in that.... if the governments had the guts to tell the oil companies to clean their products rather than have us believe all the CRAP attatched to our cars that cost a fortune and ensures a steady stream of cash in the form of taxes to gov...tis a damn good money spinner, lets get addled brained folks to spin a yarn and lets praise and promote them...what say yea, dave... al.....bono.... with no scientific evidence, when scientific evidence finds that "global warming" as they call it, (another form of alqaida or taliban, maybe? ) is also being experienced by other planets in our solar system...Mars for one, says Nasa, has suffered a significant decrease in its polar cap in the last 5yrs, suggesting "global warming"......

or maybe its solar.... pluto is getting warmer also ....fortunately for it, man hasnt landed anything on it top cause polution, as far as we know.......

Pluto has the most eccentric orbit of all the planets. Sometimes it's even inside the orbit of neptune. Conditions on pluto bear no relevance to that debate
Sort of remnent of the days when people were building bomb shelters because of the atomic bomb now we have progressed to nuclear. Nobody learnt from past experience I wonder if they will learn from the next.
I was aware of that. My point was that the conditions on pluto are for ever changing and have absolutely nothing to do with conditions on our planet.
And my stance, which you have always failed to adress, is that it doesnt matter if global warming is caused by us or other forces (i'm prepared to admit there's a chance it's nothing to do with us), we should prepare for it, and do whatever we can to reduce the chances that we make it worse (or worse than we already have as the case may or may not be).

Yup... Uncle Sam has decreed that even though I have been paying, income, state and federal taxes all year... plus every other tax from gas to groceries that I have still made too much money and they are looking for a $600 check. Unbelievable.
