This is interesting............Steveler will start at pivot for the Bombers in this Q. But the Riders have the ball first...............under triple coverage Evans come up with the ball and the D............Williams-Lambert comes up with another 1rst D and the crowd has been taken out of the game...................it is noticeably quieter at Investment field all of a sudden.....heh, heh, heh,........2 and 2 and Chris gets us the D..........Zach under pressure somehow gets the ball away and Williams-Lambert comes up with another big gain that puts us in Bomber territory..........Chris gets nowhere on the rush.......2&8........and Zach comes waaaay to close to almost coughing up the ball again..................Lauther comes out and nails it from the 38 to give the Riders a 6-point lead.

Oh, oh.......Steveler has Bomber fans on their feet again especially after a great completion on his first toss of the series..........Bombers come up short on next play and have to kick the ball away........great punt punts us back around our own 10 yard line.......Bomber fans back in their seats............


Rosie on the receiving end of Zach's first D pass..........Flag........and of course.........it's against the Riders and we are once again backed up in our end zone..........and Zach misses on his next pass.........2 and 16.......Zach stumbles his way to around the 11 but way short of the D......the Riders should concede the points..........but of course they don't and the Bombers will start from our 50.

Evans up close to the Bomber 40................Bombers tagged for UR on an out-of-bounds hit on Evans .......that really was stretching the rules in my books.........Mason makes something out of nothing at all......as he's forced to cut back across the field and still gets the D...............imcomp pass on next play.........Zach keeps but is way short of the D......Lauther from the 23 puts another 3 on the board.

The Bomber player (Thompson) who was taken off the field by stretcher earlier has now returned to the side-lines but not into the game.

26 - 17 Riders

Rider D comes up big to prevent any real gains on that Bomber series forcing them to punt......Medlock boots one to the Rider 10......return of 5.........Riders pinned deep again. . . . . . Rosie gets us 8........Riders forced to burn a time-out due player mix-up ..............Mason gets us the down and a pile of yak yards.....I'm liking this kid the more I see of him........Marcus gets us another D............Mason again.........averaging almost 7 yards a carry (.........gets us 3 more then the final 7 for the D.......he's had 8 carries for over 80 yards so far............it is so good to see us with a really competitive running game again.........Zach gets blind-sided and coughs up the ball.........Bombers recover

Harris is stopped after a gain of 2..........Zach is going to the locker-room.......Streveler finds his old buddy for a big gain.............Ed Gainey is down on the field.........Brandon Bridge is warming up on the sidelines.........BTW, we are into the last Q now...............Bombers with another 1rst D into Rider territory.....Bombers into the red zone now........and finds his man in the end zone...............and that ignites the Bomber fan


It's a meager two-point ball game now with 10:07 to go in the game


Rider's will start a their own 10 or 11............again.............Bridge's first pass sails way over the head of our receiver.......and we come up short again. I surely hope we kneel this time...........but Bartel comes in and punts one out to the 50 once again giving the Bombers good field position.............I am so not feeling good about this game now

Bombers held to a FG but go ahead by a point with 6:44 left.............Moore can't hold onto to Bridge's lateral pass..........2 and 10...........this Bridge finds Williams-Lambert for the first D........Mason gets about 4........Bridge finds Moore for the D and more ..........Bombers charged with RTP.........Riders at the Bomber's 25.............Mason approaching 100 yards rushing and gets us 9+..........Brandon holds and goes over for the D...........Mason held to a yard.................Mason gets to the Bomber's 5-yard line but is short of the D by a couple of yards...........Lauther from the 17 puts us back ahead by two points with just over 2 to go in the final Q.

We need a pick here.........Bombers will start at their own 33.........good rush on Streveler by our D.......and the guys come up big again as the Bombers are forced to kick on 3 and 10


Evans returns the ball to the Sask 38 and that is where Brandon will take over.........Mason gets two yards but Brandon misses his target on the next pass and Bombers will get the ball back........lousy execution on that series for the Riders............


Bombers at their own 36......with 2:00 to go...............Demski stopped for a loss of 1 on the play.........and again Demski is short.............3rd and 5...........Streveler is in trouble.......coughs up the ball and Elam recovers with 1:14 left....................Mason gets 6.........but comes up short again of the D but within FG range for Lauther......3 and 2..........Lauther is out to attempt one from the 45............and he nails it!!!!!!!!! with :46 left to go...........the Bombers will need a TD to win.


Bombers will start from their 30............Streveler finds a receiver in Rider territory for the D...........here comes Jeffereson...........and down goes Streveler........:11 to go......3 and 8 ............Streveler throws it out of bounds and RIDERS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoa..........Esks just finished capitalizing on a forced fumble that quickly turned into a beautiful TD......... now they nabbed an interception off BooWhoo........

Reilly connects with Mitchell at the Stumps 4 for the D...........Reilly to Hazelton TD ...... convert held up due to Calgary player down on the field.........up and moving now...........kick is good

Stumps get another 6 on the board with just over a minute left in the 1rst.......converts good........21 - 14 Esks

We are now just into the opening minutes of the final Q. Edmonton currently leads 48 - 28. The Stumps have committed 5 TOs in the game so far but haven't yet thrown in the towel. The Esks have had a couple of TOs themselves - the last being one by Reilly who'd run for the D but gave up the ball when he was hit - Stumps recovered and are at now at the Esks 30 yard line. After stopping the Stumps cold on two consecutive plays, the Stumps go for it on 3 and 10 and Boo Hoo finds his receiver for the TD......convert is good .......Stumps narrow the Esks lead to 13.

Esks can't get out of their own zone and will have to punt the ball away ...........Calgary's Williams returns the ball to the Esk's 52.............Calgary offside on the first play, penalty declined....Stumps 2 and 10 and again are tagged this one for holding and are pushed 10 yards back............they are then tagged for procedure and are now 2nd and 25 at their own 43..........Boo Hoo's next pass - a Hail Mary is picked off by Edmonton.



6:11 Reilly's pass doesn't reach his target..........2 and 10........Williams nabs the next pass and is close to the D.....Calgary taking a time-out.........3rd and inches for the Esks.........Reilly holds and has no problem going over for the D. They get a couple on the ground...........2nd and 7.......and Reilly's sacked........3rd and 14.......Esks punt the ball away..........Stumps will take over around their own 50.
Daniel's can't haul in Boo Hoos pass.......2 and 10 with just over 3 to go in the game...........Boo Hoo connects for the D........they follow that with another 1rst D around the Esks 30........Daniels gets another 9........but Calgary is flagged for hands to the face.........a nice little 15-yuarder that wipes out the gain and pushes then back 5 yards....2nd and 8..............another flag - this one against the Esks..........Stumps get their D and are first and goal........Boo Hoo misses his target on their first attempt at the end zone........but they make it across on the 2nd attempt........TD Stumps. With but 2:16 left the Esks hang on to a narrow 6 point lead.

Flags fly after the return ............Calgary tagged for OC........10 yards enforced from the end of the play........Esks will start from their 32..........and go nowhere on a rushing play...........Reilly finds Williams for the D and yak yards to boot........Reilly's thrown for 397 yards tonight.......Esks get 5 on the next play with 1:17 left.............but Mike's next pass is knocked down before it finds a receiver....3rd and 6 and the punt team is out..............Hugh O'Neil punts one to the corner and the Stumps take over at their own 12.
Boo Hoo's first pass incomplete........2nd and 10..........:43 left...........and again Boo Hoo can't find his receiver.......3rd and 10........fans are going bonkers in the stands......and the Stumps have a fresh set of downs when Boo finally finds his receiver........:23..........next pass incomp..........followed by another incomp with :15 remaining...........3rd and 10........and with 7 seconds left Boo Hoo finds a receiver a the Esks 43.......his Hail Mary to the end zone is knocked down by an Esks defender..............Stumps lose.......again.
