Dammit. I hate Calgary but we needed them to win. Ah well safely in 3rd is a happy place. 2nd will have to wait.

Pete, we are sitting 2nd in the West. We are 7 and 4. The Esks are 7 and 5 so we still have a game in hand over them. And, we have a better record than any team in the East. We Rock.

Honestly, though I didn't cheer out loud for the Esks - every time they got another TD, my heart gave a little flip of happiness. I simply cannot bring myself to cheer for the Stumps.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Matt Nichols (15) walks off the field after throwing an interception during first half CFL action against the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 15th annual Banjo Bowl in Winnipeg Saturday, September 8, 2018.

Until the by weeks are at par, there is still nibbles at the heels.

Way better than us nibbling at heels. The only team in our way now is the Stumps and we've already proven we can beat them.............having been the first team to do so this year. Yeah baby.

I'll be happy if we earn a play-off game at Mosaic. If we make it to the Grey Cup - I'll be ecstatic. If we win - I may have a heart attack. ;-) After near on 66 years of cheering for the Riders, I've learned to temper my expectations, take each game as it comes and be happy in the moment that another W goes on the board.

Grey Cup is still 2 1/2 months away. If we get that far, I'll be in the stands at Commonwealth.

Noooooo doubt about it.

Well this is indeed fortuitous. I just got home from a long day in town and was looking for something decent to watch on TV whilst I wound down. What did I find - the Riders vs Bombers game. Now I get to see all the plays I missed the first time around. Go Riders.

I don't believe I gave Tre' Mason and Marcus Thigpen their due for providing us with a very decent rushing game in last weekend's match - something that the Riders have not had a lot of success at establishing. I also give credit to all the individual effort that went into the win. There were many heroes in the game and I commend the all.

Another favorite moment from the game - Little Lauther strummin' the banjo after he goes 6 for 6 and puts us firmly in the lead. Just as good the second time around. I hope Chris is sleeping in his 'green shirt' and doesn't wash it until we're holding the Cup. :p:lol:

The Lions have prowled into Montreal to take on the Alouettes in the first CFL game of Week 14.

Johnny may not be playing but the media never seem to tire of talking about him. Meanwhile, Antonio Pipkin will remain behind center for the Al's who have secured two consecutive wins under his talented hands.....and feet I might add. The kid is exciting to watch and I hope he has another good game tonight.

I gather the Lions won their game last week. This could be their last stab at staying in the game as a loss would put them out of play-off contention.

Pipkin intercepted. Lions take the ball...........Travis completes a fantastic pass to put the Lions close to the red zone..........on the next play he takes a hard hit from Bowman and is being taken to the dressing room. Stay there Travis, please. Jennings connects with Burnham for a TD on the next play.

Travis had a shoulder separation. They popped it back in but he may not be back in the game. He better not be put back in the game. Luckily, for the Lions their D is doing a great job of limiting any sustained drives by the Als.

Okay, Travis is definitely out of the game. He's on the sidelines with his entire left arm wrapped up in a big ice pack. Apparently, he will help out with the QB coaching.

Montreal finally gets on the board midway through the 2nd Q with 3 after Bede sent one sailing through the uprights from around the 37. Lions definitely in control of the game so far.

Bede from 29 out splits the goal posts to add another 3 to the Als total - 4 points behind the Lions.

Jennings over-throws his target and the Al's Dozier picks up his first interception.

Al's unable to capitalize on the TO but Bede pins the Lions on their own 4-yard line with 1:10 left in the Q

Pipkin needs better protection. Bede punts into the end zone - Al's add another point to their score and now trail by a FG.

Edit: There was a flag on the play - end result, Al's kick again. Lions' concede the point as Bede once again finds the end zone.
