With 4:24 left in the 3rd, the Lions lead by 13 - 7 but are threatening to go ahead by a few more points as they enter the red zone. Lions will have to settle for Long FG but it is blocked and the Als take it all the way back for a TD. Off to have dinner.

Pipkin just got picked and to make matters worse the Lions ran the ball in for a TD.........no chance for Montreal now as they trail BC 25 - 14 with 2:52 to go in the final Q. This was the Lions game for the most part and their second win in a row.

OMG..........Pipkin just threw the ball into the hands of another BC defender who also ran it straight into the end zone.
2:01 32 - 14

I'll have to make sure I read the sports section of the Montreal Gazette this week as there will be quite the furor over why the Als didn't put Johnny in when it was obvious that Pipkin was having a bad night.

It's going to be a chilly day at Mosaic. It feels like early November.
It's a chilly, damp and heavily overcast day here in Eagle Creek, pete. Great day to be snuggled up inside watching football.

This is Hall of Fame weekend in the CFL.

"'He won a Vanier Cup at the University of Saskatchewan and three Grey Cups with the Montreal Alouettes. On Friday night, Scott Flory will join the greatest football team ever assembled in Canada."

"Flory, 41, of Regina, was a nine-time all-star over 15 seasons with Montreal (1999-2013). The six-foot-four, 300-pound guard was the CFL’s top lineman in 2008-09 and helped the Alouettes win three Grey Cups (2002, 09-10).
The former CFL Players’ Association president is now the head coach at his alma mater.
Montreal selected Flory in the third round, No. 15 overall, in the 1998 draft. He attended training camp but returned to school and helped the Huskies win the Vanier Cup."

He may not have been a Rider but he's a Saskatchewan lad all the same. Congrats to Scott and all the other inductees to the CFL Hall of Fame.

Calgary vs Hamilton game just got underway at Ivor Wynne Stadium in Hamilton. I've been looking forward to this match-up between my favorite Eastern team and the Stumps. Jeremiah vs Boo Hoo Levi - should be some great passing in the game. Go Cats, Go!

The Cats O got far enough downfield for Lirim to attempt a long FG - he was wide. The Calgary receiver may the mistake of running the ball out of the end zone - he made to the 5-yard line. Two plays later and the Stumps were punting the ball away.

Calgary manages one 1rst D before being forced to punt on 3 and 18. Stump ST yanks Cat punt returner down by his hair. That's not a penalty as Roddie felt forced to repeat several times.

Ah shit, Jeremiah was intercepted on 2 and 1. Calgary ball at their 50.

Cats D force Stumps to kick on 3 and 13 -........and again, Boo Hoo came oh so close to being picked off. Keep the pressure on Cats.

Jeremiah get 2 completions for 1rst Ds but comes up short on the next play and the Cats call on Lirim who connects from around the 30 and the Ti-Cats have put 10 unanswered points on the board as the 1rst Q ends.

This Hamilton defense is holding up pretty darn well against the much-vaunted Calgary O. When I see Boo Hoo yapping away at his receivers as they come off the field, I know the Cats are getting to him..........heh, heh, heh....

So...............the Stumps fight their way downfield, into the red zone and finally get their first TD of the game. 104 yards later, the Cat's Ryan returning the punt goes over the goal line for a Hamilton TD.
