Ryan fumbles the ball on the return, and the Stumps take the fumble over for a TD. Man, there been have a lot of TOs in the games this year. This makes 3 in this game alone and we aren't finished the first half.

Good on Jeremiah.........comes right back from almost getting sacked and completes a first D pass. Cat's rushing game is nothing to right home about yet.......hope they can .............never mind, Mazoli just got picked off again.....make that 4 TOs in the game...........yetch.

Stumps in the red zone ........flag on 2 and 5, hah, hah, hah.........time count on Boo Hoo.....make that 2 and 10......and damn if that Hazelton doesn't come through with a reception and some good extra effort to put Calgary around the Cat's 6 yard line as the 3-minute warning is given.

1rst and goal, Cal stopped at the 1..........2nd and goal, .....Arbuckle comes in on short yardage and takes the ball over.........but .....Cal is flagged for procedure and that wipes out the TD......you just can't make this stuff up..........Boo Hoo back in........and over-throws his target in the end zone.......3rd and goal - Paredes puts a chip shot through for 3 points and a 1-point lead over the Cats.

:35 Cats O comes up short of the end zone but have a shot at 3 points if Lirim can split the uprights......he's good and the Cats are back in the lead by 2 going into the half.


...........posted that bit a little too quickly as Lirim's punt went out of bounds drawing a flag and a 10 yard penalty. Stamps started at their 45...........Boo Hoo connected on long pass to put the Stumps in FG territory..........Paredes was good and it will be the Stumps taking the lead into the half.

Calgary will take the ball to open the 3rd Q........starting at their own 29......they lose a yard on a running play......come up short by 2 on the next and are forced to kick
Cats will start their own 45 after the all goes off the side of the kicker's foot..........Jeremiah rushed and has to throw ball away, 2 and 10..........and has to do it again so Cats will be punting.........Cal receiver returns ball to Stumps 30.......flag on the play - haven't a clue what the call was as they are interviewing Hank Ilesic - You Go Hank....... but Calgary is backed up deeper in their own zone so it went against the Stumps......they come up short on 2 and 3 by a yard..........and we have another TO in the game...........this one in the Cats favor as they recover Arbuckle's fumble as he tries to go over on 3 and 1.......Cats take the ball to the end zone.....TD Hamilton! You GO Cats!!

Stumps had good coverage on all the Cat receivers and the 2-point convert attempt goes for naught.

Stumps forced to 2 and out by excellent Hamilton defense
Cats are starting to get some traction out of their rushing game....Jeremiah gets rid of the ball as he's about to be creamed.....2 and 10, Tolliver with his first reception of the game and another 1rst D..........Jeremiah goes down with the ball this time for a loss of 6........2nd and 16......no go......Lirim out to punt

6:06 Terry Williams takes the return 83 yards to the end zone for a Stumps TD...they go for 2 and come up short

More lead changes in this game than many of the others I've watched. Right now it really is either team's ballgame considering all the twists and turns this one has taken and what is yet to come.

Jeremiah's pass just kisses the hands of his receiver but Cal is called for pass interference, 1rst D.................Green with a screen gets 7 on the ground.....Tasker can't secure the ball......3rd and 3.......Lirim punts to the 10.......Boo Hoo connects with his receiver who takes the ball to the end zone for another Stumps TD.........Cats are challenging that there was OPI but lose it and a time-out...........pretty iffy challenge there Jimmy. Calgary goes for 2 and this time they get the points.

Missed some plays.......had to take Rowan outside .....came back and Paredes was putting another 3 on the scoreboard for the Stumps who are now leading 37 - 25 early in the 4th Q

Cats have moved the ball downfield to within FG territory and are 1and 10 at the Stumps 40........time-out called by Calgary........ball over Tolliver's head as he's well-covered by 2 Cal defenders........Lawrence gets the first D .........Green gets 5 yards after initially being stalled on the rush........Jeremiah misses his target in the end zone.......flag on the play - PI on Calgary........auto 1rst D for the Cats at the Stump's 9....1rst and goal and Green goes nowhere........2nd and goal........Jeremiah calls his own number but gets sacked and they are going for a FG to the obvious displeasure of the fans.........Lirim adds another 3 to the Cats score as they trail by 7

Not looking good for the Cats right now.......Stumps are at the Hamilton 14 with 2:03 left in the game.......Stumps gobbling up minutes on the clock.........1:39 Stumps 3 and inches at the 5....Arbuckle gets the another 2 or 3........flag on the play as the players lose their cool........Hamilton called UR......Cal first and goal........Moore easily gets in for the TD.........and that is it for the Cats.........gotta say, Calgary was the better team today.

It's going to be a Stumps win but boy o boy it it cost them in injuries.

It did, pete but they've got the bye now so should be pretty well healed up when they play their next game. They were saying that the heat really was hard on all the players today.

Heat won't be an issue tonight but a stiff easterly wind will.

I'm glad we spent the day indoors. Canned up 32 pints of homemade salsa.
