This one's for you Colpy.

I really dislike this guy, I always have. He is an arrogant jackass.

But, he is fully assimilated, he is not a follower of the lunatic death cult, he is simply wrong......a lot.

And he defends the right of free speech.

I have no problem with this particular rant.

Takes a lot of guts not to buckle under the pressure and stick to your principles.

This shows greater bravery than all those backwater journals cashing in on tabloid profanity.

Why the CBC will not broadcast Charlie Hebdo cartoons

BULLSHYTE!!

CBC will not show the Mohammed cartoons of Charlie Hebdo for three reasons:

1. They are cowards

2. They do not understand the importance of free speech.

3. They are cowards.

Sad to say, the vast majority of western news outlets are also cowards.

To his great credit, and my astonishment, Neil Macdonald of CBC not only understands this, he says so:

The interview I posted is with the guy that actually calls the shots.

The fact that this is the unpopular move already makes him braver than people who who post a cartoon believing it will change the status quo.

You forgot Hypersensitive PC Liberal Douche Bags ...

Try not to be too offended.

REALLY?

That he risks the scorn of some people makes him "braver" than those that risk death?

Oh come on! Even you can't believe that........

BTW, Never been attacked, have you?

Guess what Colpy.

The publications that posted the image are safe.

This already proves that your concern over freedom of speech is dubious.

Get some sleep.

THUNK!

The sound of your head going back into the sand.

You do understand that there are cartoonists living in houses with safe rooms, that have been attacked with lethal intent, more than once? (Denmark)

You do understand that the creator of "Draw Mohammed Day" had to disappear? (USA)

You have heard of Theo Van Gogh? (the Netherlands)

You do know that the offices of Charlie Hebdo were attacked before? (France)

You have been paying attention to Canadian news, attacks in Quebec and on Parliament Hill? (Canada)

You have heard of Salman Rushdie? (UK)

WTF is wrong with you?

WAKE UP!

How the heck do you think that my stance that every western news outlet should show Charlie Hebdo images of Mohammed makes my concern over freedom of speech dubious"?

Doublethink..

All sensationalism that means as much as the threat of ebola.

Again, a significant number of publications world wide have not been touched and this should have been obvious to anyone with half a brain.

Your fear mongering is wearing thin.

It was a stupid question.

2 guys killing 12 did not compromise freedom of speech or significantly increase the threat of terrorism.

Get over it.

Heaven forbid they let their 4 viewers make their own decision. Gotta make the decision for them. Pussies.

The outlets posting the pics don't really care about free speech, they just want to cash in.

très obvious

THE GUNMEN'S LAST STAND: Several injured as Charlie Hebdo killers seize HOSTAGES and exchange fire with police after they storm business premises near Paris airport

The Charlie Hebdo massacre gunmen were today exchanging fire with police as they held hostages on an industrial estate near Charles de Gaulle Airport. Several people were wounded before Cherif and Said Kouachi entered business premises in the village of Dammartin-en-Goele, north east of Paris. They are believed to have taken hostages in a storage unit, which is now surrounded by police commandos. As helicopters hovered overhead, France's Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said: 'A police operation is underway.' The suspects were holed up in a small printing business named CTD, a source close to the investigation said. 'It's not sure how many people are inside,' the source said.

Trapped: The brothers were cornered in the premises of a construction firm after stealing a car from a nearby town earlier

Prior to the standoff, the suspects hijacked a Peugeot 206 in Montagny-Sainte-Felicite from a woman who recognised them as the wanted men

The suspects were holed up in a small printing business named Creating Trend Discovery in the village of Dammartin-en -Goele

A helicopter searching for Charlie Hebdo suspects hovers above Dammartin-en-Goele as the net closed in on the killers. One of the helicopters has snipers on board

Live footage was broadcast on Sky News two hours ago of police vans chasing the Charlie Hebdo killers amid fears they have taken hostages on a 'martyrdom mission' towards Paris

An armed police officer shouts at journalists to move way from the area after setting up a road block around the search zone

Location: The Kouachis hijacked a car in the town of Montagny Sainte Felicite, about 30 miles north-east of Paris before leading police on a chase along the major road linking the two towns amid reports of heavy gunfire
