Are First Nation Tribes obligated to conduct same sex marriages on the reservations in Canada?
Canadian Law, so far, protects all churches and religious institlutions, including those of aboriginal spirituality, from being forced to conduct marriage ceremonies that do not conform to their moral principles. Since all marriage is a Federal jurisdiction in Canada, tribes were never entitled to issue licences, which are registered in Federal government offices.
In Canada and the U.S. and the rest of the West, this will be the next target of the attack, in the relentless onslaught of the homosexual lobby to overturn every vestige of exclusivity for religion in recognizing only traditional marriage.
