    Soups and Chowders

My mom made perfect dumplings, laid them gently on top of the stew, lid off for part of the time, lid on to finish.(She didn't make little ones,) they were quite a generous serving each, about the size of a nice biscuit, and when they were done, they completely covered the stew, but stayed in...

I think the tomatoe paste would make the chili richer, redder and tastier, especially the type with garlic added. But, doesn't really matter, whatever one likes, they like, so be it.

The stewed tomatoes and tomatoe paste would be my choice Juan, they are the key to the consistency of my spaghetti sauce, as well as the flavour, 'pure' italian style.

    Soups and Chowders

I do that too Anna, chicken broth, spaghetti sauce, soup, etc., make huge batches, freeze, so nice to go to the freezer and just get what you need, anytime you need it. Less expensive as well. Usually can buy food in large quantities, econo size, at a lower price.

Flu is not the biggest danger ...... It's the vaccine

Most things you are doing with your kids and grandkids are very familiar to me, as I am a few years older than you, we have passed by that stage, grandchildren are older now, with exception of one, and our life has settled down and become much more quiet, just the next phase I guess.

You know, he has done so well over the past years, we forget about his problem, which now seems like a 'non' problem. Each year when he goes to childrens hospital, they are ecstatic about his condition, I guess it gives them lots of confidence in the particular procedure that he had, I just...

Flu is not the biggest danger ...... It's the vaccine

Good luck to all of your family through the flu season. I have one grandson who was born with a very malfunctioning heart, has had two open heart surgerys, now has a 3 chamber heart instead of 4, other arteries were rerouted, and he is in amazing condition and good health at 16, but he needs...

Flu is not the biggest danger ...... It's the vaccine

here here !!!!!! it's about time we get a little balance on this thread. I also am concerned about the few that will be 'sucked' in by all of this crap. If people make a decision 'not' to get vaccinated, that is fine, but 'fear' should not be their reason, (unless they just don't like the...

Flu is not the biggest danger ...... It's the vaccine

If we have to get two, then we will. We are seniors, so we get them at the seniors center, and they arrive in batches, usually 3 different times, so I will watch and see how they do it this year.

Flu is not the biggest danger ...... It's the vaccine

That's right, we need some very strong 'opposite side' info on this thread, by people who really know what they're talking about, as I hate to see people believe this stuff, and become afraid.

Flu is not the biggest danger ...... It's the vaccine

My husband and I will both get our vaccinations this fall, as every year, have not ever had a negative reaction to any of them, and have not had the flue since getting vaccinated. We usually get them a little later than the early ones, because they do wear off, so ours will last a little longer...
