So, so true Karrie. Did the same with my Dad, held him in my arms as he took his last breath. It is a rough ride for sure but we deal with it because we must ((hugs))
Thank you so much for caring Karrie, that is very sweet of you to say. I've not long got home, having a wee break. It's certainly emotionally draining and watching your Sister die is a toughie! It is so painful and the soul aches. I am so strong for her and a barrel of laughs for everyone else. She has had visitors from near and far, all her nursing colleagues and bosses. We took her home to her home today, she is relaxed and aware of what is happening. She is going down really fast, so it won't be long, bless her. My beautiful Sis, just 45 years old, so so unfair ... We each get dealt with cards at birth and follow a certain journey don't we, she is a very special angel to me. She will remain so in spirit ((love & hugs Kiwi))
