Like you I’m just following this and not participating. That doesn’t seem to be on the dance card at this point, but stopping the current goat rodeo first is.
This is the one that’s been focussed on first.
Why not solve the cause first? I wouldn't dis arm until they're disarmed.
You’re asking the wrong guy, because like yourself, I am also just following along and not a participant in these negotiations.

Maybe about Oct 6th 2023 your idea could’ve been first on the dance card, but by noon on Oct 7th 2023, it wasn’t anymore.

Your question would be best asked of Hamas & Bibi & Orange Jesus & the many many mediators that may or may not be trying to wind this up quickly or even at all.

Hamas (& its appendages) do have the option of not disarming. I heard that was part of the either/or choice last Monday. Hamas (& its military wing) can choose not to disarm, and if so, then Israel comes in and cleans that out with US backing. I think that’s what was said a week ago today?

That’s so last week though, and Trump could’ve flip-flopped on that, which wouldn’t be surprising at all, but then next week he could flip back, and then the week after he could flop the other way, and so on and so forth…kind of like an unpredictable metronome.

Well, this does just keep getting weirder and weirder.
Did the Italian PM offend Greta’s Flotilla?

Speaking in an interview with state television company RAI, Meloni said Defence Minister Guido Crosetto and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani had been denounced, and "I think" also Roberto Cingolani, the head of defence group Leonardo <LDOF.MI.

In other remarks, Meloni said she believed that US President Donald Trump had come to the conclusion that Russia was not interested in a peace deal with Ukraine.

Put over a knee and spanked?
Well, doesn’t seem to be covered with Bedbugs bites or bruises from manhandling…& for not being able to change her clothing for 2-3 days and wearing a white shirt? It’s still white…while having to sleep on the floor in a dirty cell, etc…

And she’s already back out in social media:
1759886690032.jpeg
And still not understanding how little she understands about the situation, or how much of a useful idiot she actually is…

But the Italian PM that offered to take the flotillas ‘aid’ to Gaza and in turn was then accused of sabotaging “the mission,” is now reported to the ICC for complicity in genocide, but no word of anyone at the Vatican facing the same fate yet.

Toronto high school scolded for playing Arabic O Canada on Oct. 7
Education Minister Paul Calandra warns incident at Earl Haig Secondary School better not happen again

Saying he doesn’t “believe” it was accidental, Ontario’s education minister lambasted a Toronto high school Tuesday for playing an Arabic version of O Canada as Jewish students mourned the second anniversary of the barbaric mass murders of Oct. 7.

Education Minister Paul Calandra has warned it had better never happen again.

Yes, that was the Canadian national anthem students and staff were standing to Tuesday at Earl Haig Secondary School in North York on the sombre day of Oct. 7 and Calandra was not buying any excuse it was an accident.

“It is hard to believe that no one recognized the significance of this day, where the world recognizes the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack perpetrated against the Jewish people since the Holocaust,” said a clearly upset Calandra. “This further underscores that school boards should be focused on creating safe learning environments for all students, never at the expense of one community over another.”

Since, by law, the anthem is to be sung, performed or played in one of Canada’s two official languages, French or English, having O Canada in Arabic played over the loudspeakers to start off a high school day was already controversial.

But to do it on the anniversary of the slaughter by Hamas terrorists in Israel was outright cruelty toward Jewish students in the school.

One parent of a Jewish student there told the Toronto Sun their child was “completely shaken up” since, in addition to playing the alternate anthem in Arabic, school officials “couldn’t bring themselves to say the word Jewish or Israel and explain that two years ago from this date was the greatest massacre of Jews since the holocaust.”

The parent added Jewish kids feel “they need to hide their religion because even their own leaders aren’t comfortable acknowledging them and makes them feel ashamed of who they are.”

The Ministry of Education and the Toronto District School Board are investigating.

This incident collided not only with the Oct. 7 day of remembrance for 1,200 Israelis, Canadians and foreign nationals slayed in cold blood by Hamas militants using hang gliders to get across the wall to attack a music festival and a kibbutz, but it also fell on the high holiday of Sukkot.

It’s estimated there are up to 100 Jewish students who attend the school that is home to 2,048 students.

“This was, at best, insensitive,” wrote former MP and Israel advocate Kevin Vuong on social-media platform X. He was also worried the anthem was “intentionally meant to cause distress and harm to their Jewish students.”

As of this point, it’s unknown what the thinking was.

While there are some suggesting it was accidental, Calandra rightfully told the school to save the excuses for the naive. The school, which is part of the TDSB and under provincial supervision, is not getting a pass on this one.

Calandra warned them, and all other Ontario schools, to never play an altered version of O Canada again.

“I am disappointed that I would have to direct that school boards demonstrate appropriate respect for our National Anthem by ensuring that it is played only in its official form,” said Calandra, adding the “federal National Anthem Act sets out that the official lyrics are in English or French, and if school boards choose not to respect our national symbols and federal legislation, then I will take action.”

Saying he “applauds the minister for speaking out forcefully on the matter,” Meir Weinstein of Israel Now said the “decision by Earl Haig school to broadcast the Canadian Anthem on Oct. 7 must be investigated because it can be interpreted as an endorsement of the Hamas slaughter of Israelis.”

This was not the only concerning incident to occur in a GTA high school on Oct. 7. Both St. Aloysius Gonzaga Catholic Secondary School and John Fraser Secondary School saw students protesting with Palestinian flags and banging drums on the very day that too many Jews were slain or taken hostage.

It’s mind-boggling how high school students are permitted to leave class to insensitively protest against another race, religion or country. It would not be tolerated, and should not be tolerated, if someone protested against students of Palestinian background for what happened during the evil attack on Oct. 7, 2023.

If students want to protest Israel’s response to the terror event, they should be reminded that they can do that on their own time and not on school premises.

But one thing made abundantly clear by Calandra is what happened with this Arabic version of the Canadian anthem being played on Oct. 7 or any other date is unacceptable.

Here’s a weird one…Sept 24/25th

The Sumud accuses Italy of sabotage the flotilla by offering to take the aid to Israel, so it can enter through “official” channels.

Probably just another coincidence? The Palestinian advocacy group behind the complaint naming Meloni is calling for the court to assess the possibility of opening a formal investigation into the charge of genocide against the Italian prime minister, AFP also reported.

The ICC has outstanding arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant over charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, including starvation, murder and persecution.

However, neither Netanyahu nor Gallant has been charged with genocide specifically?

?????

Then more fuckery to interfere with the peace process again…
Last week Israel intercepted about 40 vessels and detained more than 450 activists including the Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg. Some activists have alleged being subjected to physical and verbal abuse by Israeli forces and being denied medical care during their detention, etc…

Support for Hamas from young generation alarming
Harvard-Harris survey reveals that nearly half of Gen Z support Hamas over Israel.

Yuval Miranda and Katya Emelianova cry as they embrace next to the photographs of Israelis who were killed in the deadly Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack on Israel, at a memorial marking the two year anniversary of the assault, in Tel Aviv, Israel, Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025.
“Truth is the first casualty of war.”

Of course.

Everyone knows that one. You hear it all the time. But — good God Almighty — that latest Harvard-Harris poll: there perhaps has never been better evidence of the war-murders-truth proposition, perhaps ever. Not even since the Greek playwright Aeschylus wrote those words, some 3,000 years ago.

The Harvard-Harris survey landed on our computer screens on Oct. 7, and was issued by the university’s respected Center for American Political Studies. Nearly 2,500 registered voters were contacted at the start of the month, and the results are considered to be accurate 95% of the time. The poll covered the mood of the country, Trump, economy, jobs, and so on.

It was the answers to the “Israel and Gaza” questions, however, that were — and this word is used too much by those of us in the media, but it applies in this case — shocking. Really, truly shocking.

The Harvard-Harris numbers can’t be easily dismissed, either, international law expert Elliot Malin noted, because Harvard-Harris has “consistently been the only pollster asking questions on Israel-Hamas over the last two years.” So they have what pollsters like to call a “baseline” or “benchmark,” and are therefore much more accurate.

Here is a sampling of what Harvard-Harris found:

– Nearly half of Gen Z — those from ages 18 to 24 — support Hamas over Israel. Almost 40% of Millennials — ages 25 to 34 — support the terror group over Israel.

– Over 40% of Gen Z oppose Hamas releasing the hostages they took on Oct. 7, 2023. A third of Millennials feel the same way.

– Over 60% of Gen Z oppose Trump’s peace plan, which is supported by every Arab nation in the region, and just about every country on Earth. Nearly 50% of Millennials oppose the peace plan.

– Sixty per cent of Gen Z falsely believe Israel has actually rejected Trump’s peace plan. And 45% of Millennials have somehow concluded the same thing.

– Forty per cent of Gen Z think Hamas should reject the peace plan. And almost 30% want Israel “ended,” and power simply handed over to Hamas/Palestinians.

Those who identify as Democrats aren’t as bad as Gen Z or the Millennials, but they’re still pretty bad: One-third of them, for example, support Hamas over Israel. (Sixteen per cent of Republicans feel that way.)

But it is young people, young Americans, who have bought into a monstrous lie. A stunning number of them support Hamas, oppose peace, and want Israel wiped off the map.

At this point, some of you may be attempting to convince yourself that Canadian youth aren’t as misguided. But that would be a mistake. As I note in my forthcoming Penguin Random House book, The Hidden Hand, polls conducted right after Oct. 7 found the same depressing results here: more than one-third of Canadian Gen Z supported, or strongly supported, the destruction of Israel.

Forty-one per cent of Canadian Gen Z sided with Hamas, and the killing of innocent Jews. One-third of Gen Z and Millennials supported targeting Canadian Jews with violence.

In Europe, it was same thing: the younger a respondent was, the more likely he or she supported antisemitism, conspiracy theories and terror.

When I first saw these horrible, terrible numbers, I turned to experts to convince me that they were somehow wrong. One of them, University of Toronto professor Robert Brym, analyses polls and publishes polls.

“It’s pretty worrisome,” Brym said to me. Young people have embraced the false notion that Israel is “a case of colonization by imperialistic white people over darker-skinned individuals,” Brym said.

Bad parenting, lousy teachers, biased media: all have played a role in turning young people away from the truth. And all of it has been super-charged by social media, Brym and so many others told me. Because that is where young people now get their “truth” — from social media, where Hamas and its axis dominate, and where Israel isn’t even a factor.

It was 3,000 years ago, give or take, so the Greek playwright named Aeschylus didn’t know that TikTok and Instagram were going to take over the world, one day. But they have.

And truth is the first and main casualty.

Humanity, too.
