One of the men allegedly told police they dug up a grave in an abandoned cemetery in the woods, removed a head from a body and smoked marijuana using the skull as a bong.

Police found the cemetery and a grave that had been disturbed but are still investigating the rest of the story, officials said.

See that's the bad thing that can happen when you smoke too much..... you sometimes do stupid things.

Just like drinking.

You sometimes do stupid things like grave digging, mutilation, and utilization of a corpse? Remind me never to go on a bender with you Prax.

Just my opinion of course, but I think you have to be a special person to dig up a corpse and use it's skull as a bong. Or for any other purpose for that matter.

Hey it's Texas....

There's ample evidence that Texans don't use their skulls for anything else anyway....

I confess - my first glance at the headline this morning brought forth a sick little chuckle from me too... followed hot on the heels by guilt for finding amusement in something that really, when ya think about it, is incredibly disrespectful to the deceased. I'm sure if I'd known the person I'd have been horrified to learn of this.

LOL......... YOU sick twist.......... lol........ I hear ya.

I actually pictured them using my skull as a bong...... I still think it's funny....... bong away..... once I'm dead I couldn't care less..... it's a piece of bone.

I know that is definitely not a PC approach but truly, the dead are uncaring in my estimate.

One could say it's making good use of natural resources rather than contributing to the consumerist habits that have lead to the failing health of our planet.

Yes, that's what it was - an act of humanitarianism.

hmmmm- I wonder if their lawyer will consider that angle? :p

While the person who is dug up may be dead and not care, family members(or in this case descendants) would probably be a tad upset.;-)

Yes I would imagine they might fail to catch the humour.

I imagine that they would enjoy hitting those punks heads like a soccer ball for a little while. That may improve their mood.;-)

I think it's kind of a weird object to reuse, but that's just me. We are into the reduce, reuse, recycle theme in general, though.
It does seem to show a bit of disrespect for the family of the deceased, too. I don't think the deceased really gives a hoot.

So how terribly different is that from some archaeologist digging up someones bones and showing them in a museum, or a doctor with a cadaver? What of the skeleton hanging in the back of many a classroom or skull sitting on a desk. Hell there are even boxes full of them sitting on shelves in the back of some warehouse waiting to be catalogued.

Using it as a bong, wrong, digging it up out of the local cemetery, again, wrong idea. So how to approach this, as a penalty or a lesson?
