But to be honest, I see Canada as a bastion for war criminals, mass murderers, weak willed Politicians and populous alike.

So I guess it's pretty acturate. It still upsets me, but it doesn't make American's any less or more falible then you or I.

You are obviously one who hates Canada, and the obvious question would be "why are you still here"?

Hi Scott, you've brought up the condition of our militarys ideals, which we can plainly see are not in accordance with what is commonly understood to be Canadian. The brain washing has been going on for two decades that I'm aware of. Joint exercise and integration has convinced me that when we will need them they simply won't be our military anymore, in fact if you listen to our captains of industry those people aren't Canadian anymore and if you listen to Harpers circus of clowns the same disconnect from the Canadian identity is true, we have over the course of the last six decades become far to familiar with the enemy. I do not think our military can be trusted to defend this country and I know thier are many traitors and moles in it. Simply put I believe we have no defence against the American assault, and our intelligence and police are the same way.We have been had from the inside out.

I absolutely agree. I don't necessarily think the USA is our enemy but that is entirely conditional on us goose stepping along with their dreams of empire. Should we try and exercise our right as a sovereign nation and impede their egotistical imperialist wet dreams in any way; I think we could easily be spun as enemies in their propaganda machine. The Canadian army is desperately pathetic and couldn't hold back the US for even a moment. I support Canada going nuclear and aiming missiles at the US. We all know the US only listens to brute force if it can be drawn to bare on them. They will do anything they want unless there are conceivable direct and assured consequences to them personally.

It is completely absurd that Canadians think it is reasonable to be living beside the largest imperialist power on the planet with our butts completely exposed and bare.

I don't think people understand what kind of an abstract noun "democracy" has been turned into. Democracy is great with checks and balances but we no longer have that in the USA or Canada. We are two nations quickly turning to totalitarianism. Also the promotion of democracy is a plan by the WTO to set up governments week to their policy of bribertization. The WTO admits this is why they like democracy, that it is the most corrupt system and easiest to manipulate through bribery. While this is true of our current incarnations of democracy it isn't true of real democracy - a thing completely lacking in Canada.

I realize this sounds absurd but it is less absurd when placed into context of how real a threat they (USA) represent to Canada and how absurd it is to be so undefended against that threat.

Its not the U.S. that everyone needs to worry about, its actually China.

Hardly. What has China done recently to compare with the illegal and outrageous carnage the USA has poured over the planet? What has China done to destabilize the world so thoroughly? When has China threatened the world with world war as Bush just recently did? I haven't heard China discussing being the worlds police or spreading Chinese hegemony; there is only one country talking such absurdities - the USA.

There is a white elephant in the room and it needs to be discussed.

They already tried doing that back after 9/11, claiming the terrorists who attacked them came from across the Canadian Border, when they actually came through their airports/sea ports, etc..... one more lie apon the pile.

I think we should impede as much as we can. Technically Canada is far better off when it comes to internal resources and technological advances, even our dollar is bouncing back and forth around the US's dollar, almost begging us to take the hint and become the next world power

The Canadian army is desperately pathetic and couldn't hold back the US for even a moment.

I greatly disagree. If the US can't even handle irradically organized insurgents, then what real chance to they have against an actual military force? Not to mention that over the last couple of years, the one decent thing Harper has been doing is putting money back into our military. Our Leopard 2 tanks are better then their M1A2's.... and overall, just compare the quality of training and preparing of our troops for combat compared to what the US has been doing (ie: rushing to fill the ranks with hacks) I don't think they'd be in any decent position to take us on.

Sure their forces may outnumber our own, but Canadians are just as proud, if not more, esspecially if invaded, of our country, and I would suspect you would see many join up or find other means of assisting the defense against the US. I imagine it would turn out similar to how many joined in WWI, which many considdered a just cause. Being invaded would be a bit bigger of a cause. Don't forget that by the end of WWI, Canada not only had one of the largest militaries in the world, but we put our name out there as a distinct and independant nation. Canada has never been known as a nation to invade or attack another nation for personal gains or profit, but rather principles. If you believe in what you are fighting for then you can't loose against a force that doesn't. (US / Iraq as an example once again. the Iraqis believe in what they are fighting for, while the majority of the US do not and are fighting based on lies.)

If the US did try to invade Canada, I sure wouldn't mind taking a sniper rifle to a few pig headed neo-nazi invaders. (oops there I go again with that rude Canadian attitude... I'm terribly sorry)

They have quantity, but no quality imo. And if the US even decided to invade Canada for whatever reason, not only would they be up against a decent military force, but they'll end up in another insurgent-style war.

Don't forget we'd get help from the UK, Australia and other Commonwealth/Crown-Related countries before the US would..... and who knows which other countries would side with the friendly Canadians just to take pot shots at the US? Quite frankly, if the US tried to invade us, yet again.... it'd be yet one more dumb ass mistake for them. The war wouldn't be pretty that's for sure, but there's very little chance the US would win, by any standards.

I support Canada going nuclear and aiming missiles at the US. We all know the US only listens to brute force if it can be drawn to bare on them. They will do anything they want unless there are conceivable direct and assured consequences to them personally.

It's the Selfish American Way.... They're the greatest country in the world, haven't you heard?

Yeah I've been saying this for years. Once again, I'm glad Harper has put some money back into the military and our north.

I still say we should haul our 2 million strong military from out of the depths of the artic snow..... they didn't think we kept all that territory for nothing did they? :p SUPRISE! Send a big wave down apon them.

I don't think people understand what kind of an abstract noun "democracy" has been turned into. Democracy is great with checks and balances but we no longer have that in the USA or Canada.

Well we have more democracy in Canada by far compared to the US. Compared to other EU nations though, that's a different story I suppose.

Which is why I made up that ND Democracy plan a few years back, where currency/money is abolished and focused more on what Democracy is supposed to be, without the corruption of personal greed/profit on the backs of others.

China has not done anything YET. But you cannot sit there and say that they are not going too. They have 2 million troops. They would have bombed the U.S. and it's allies if it wasnt for our Nuclear subs that are scattered around the world. Chine in the next 3 years will be the world's #1 consumer of oil in the world, and when that happens, you cant say the americans are in war in Iraq for oil anymore, because the next war will be with china, and it will be a nuclear war over natural resources that China will start.

Another thing, canadians like yourselfs can quickly down play America as the wrongs in the world, But America is actually trying to keep north america from everyone else that wants to destroy it. If America is such a hassel, why dont canada do something?? Your 3600 troops in Afghanistan isnt making a statement. Instead of talking how bad America is, think about your own country and who would be ruling it now if England and U.S. didnt defend it.

Also, 5 out of the 19 hijackers did come across the canada border. They flew in to your airports. But our CBP let them in, so its both of our countries faults, not just Americas.

My BS meter is clicking loudly. In any case, Canada doesn't let people into the U.S. The U.S. lets people into the U.S.
Will Newt Gingrich retract his retraction?

You should also blame the flight instructors in Florida who taught the terrorists how to fly Jets with such precision as to fly them into buildings.

Nonsense. The hijackers lived in the U.S. on and off for a year or more before 9/11

I agree but we need a larger population. I think Canadians are to xenophobic and that will hold us back.

I agree that we would put up a good fight but remember our militaries are very integrated. At best an invasion and any resistance could only be properly framed as a resistance. We have weakened ourselves that much. Agreements on the North American Union are being signed, we have free trade (of a sort) and now there is talk of a common currency. Bush talks about domestic supply of oil and what he really means is our oil. There is only one purpose for our taking on a single currency with the US and that is that our and their elite mean for Canada to pay off the huge US debt. There is no other purpose for it. So despite the rhetoric of "if the us invades," we should face facts and realize they already have - with very little resistance.

Again, they have already annexed us, but in a slimy double handed way, in that, we have so integrated with them but don't have a vote. It is very much taxation without representation at this point and when they start raping our country to pay off their debt it will even be more obvious. An example is the oil from Alberta and Saskatchewan isn't being refined in Canada but shipped directly to the US. As a result we are losing huge revenues. Our politicians say that will stop but according to NAFTA it can't stop. Once we start supplying the US we are obliged to continue supplying them. Essentially the rape has already begun.

It's the Selfish American Way.... They're the greatest country in the world, haven't you heard?

They are realizing the truth now.

Yeah I've been saying this for years. Once again, I'm glad Harper has put some money back into the military and our north.

I really think we need to go nuclear and aim the weapons at the US. It is the only way we can slow down the integration and have any kind of negotiation power.

Well we have more democracy in Canada by far compared to the US. Compared to other EU nations though, that's a different story I suppose.

I don't think so. Our PM and PMO has more power than the US president. Our anti-terror laws are more draconian and all our politicians are on the same page. No one in Ottawa follows law and they are all on the take (lobbying) now.

Which is why I made up that ND Democracy plan a few years back, where currency/money is abolished and focused more on what Democracy is supposed to be, without the corruption of personal greed/profit on the backs of others.

I am all for abolishing our fiet currency.

You watch too much TV. Propaganda is the mind killer.

What evidence do you have of your blanket statements?

The evidence we have is that the USA is trying to conquer the world not China. China makes consumer goods the USA makes war.

Those are the facts.

Thats exactly why no one sees this. But when China becomes the next super power remember this guy telling you all this before hand.

The USA is protecting it's assets, it isn't protecting Canada. During the cold war Canada was a buffer between themselves and Russia - someplace to fight other than US soil. Now Canada is a huge cash cow waiting to be exploited to fund US imperialist dreams.

The US has all but destroyed the world community via the UN. The world has a nuclear weapons problem only because they refused to disarm when Russia made the offer.

You let them in. Canada isn't the USA. Do you see how you can't keep our nations separate? We let someone into Canada and you think we're culpable because you let them into the USA!?!? Canada isn't some US agency.

The un isnt nothing bro. Its their to help vulnerable countries, please let me know who they helped since the 40's?
