Life, like the swift-running water is always going forward and is never still and stagnant.
The past , no matter how rich and beautiful - 'was' and it will never "be again".
Are you in love with your life
Define "in love with".
Obviously Sal you already have the answer to your own question ,so why bother .
So why bother... why bother with what China?
As you can clearly see by the various answers in this thread, life is not like a swift-running water always going forward. Life is indeed concerned with the past.

Indeed. This line says it all. Party on. I'll just take my exit.
You didn't meet your husband until *after* your crippling accident? Then he did so bargain for it, and you must be a couple of pretty extraordinary people.I feel sorry for my husband...he didn't bargain for this. I do so wish he could have seen me the way I used to be...
Thank you Dexter.Never thought you like my posts.China's brilliant at asking deceptively complex metaphysical questions I've never thought about.
Have you ever thought that it is You who makes the "version"? Does life make you? What is Life?Lets talk.Pretty much have to love this life. It's the only life this version of me is going to get....

I've never thought of them in terms of liking or not liking them. I often don't understand what your point is, but you're obviously no fool, you're a bright guy with a lot on your mind. You're certainly challenging and you've made me think about things I wouldn't otherwise have thought about, and think about things in different ways than I ever have before, and that's no bad thing. It's people like you, people who think so differently from the way I do, that draw me to places like this. I'm a little unhappy to learn that you thought I don't like your posts, I never meant to give you that impression. It's incomprehension, not dislike.Never thought you like my posts.
Absolutely I agree. Things often don't make sense to me, and somehow they always involve people who don't think the way I do. Most often it's my wife. She routinely makes leaps of logic that go right by me, I have no idea how she does it or how she got there, but 27 years with her have shown me that she's not wrong very often. Obviously she understands things I don't....I think you will agree with me that there are moments in life that can be very illogical ; how do we react to those moments when... 'there is no logic'?

Hi,Dexter,thanks for the post.
Back in Poland ,when I was still a kid ,I've asked a priest once (he was my (Catholic) religion teacher )the very same question ....what happens when the logic ends .I can still see the priest smiling and whispering to me ..."when logic ends faith begins".I thought that makes sense until a moments later when he almost shouted at me...."but faith is terribly logical".
So here you go Dex.
My God wolf ,if Johnny Cash was alive he would make a song out of your post ; make a no1 country&western hit and wolf you'd make allot money too.lone wolf
Though not proud of some of the things I had to do in it, there's solace in knowing I'll never have to do them again. Do I love my life? My life is not my yesterdays. It's tomorrows yet to be ... and who
couldn't love knowing there's something neat just up around the next bend....
Do you believe in multiple lives lone wolf?Pretty much have to love this life. It's the only life this version of me is going to get....

Have you guys taken the Myers-Brigg personality type indicator? She is likely an intuitive and you might be a senser.Absolutely I agree. Okay well let me explain then what I was responding to. In your original post you made it sound like one was in love with the past or in love with the present. The way you worded it, you implied judgement and that loving one had more value or was smarter.sal: define "in love with".
China : respect "what IS " for what it IS, 'cause it IS
Ha,I,ve told you ,you already knew the answer.
I'll try... just for you...Sal
With China's conundrums, it's best to adopt a bird like quality and fly over them for a while, not settling down on any one thing - the obvious answer is not the one he is looking for - and after a bit when you discard the obvious, the possibly missed responses are worth plucking and sharing with him...
He loves to put us in twizzles.... and I love him for it! Sometimes our first answer spoils the truth and reality of a later response.
