Sanctus, I can understand that. I, too, like words a lot. I can speak four languages, some better, some worse. I enjoy reading, I like a beautiful phrase, too. I find words fascinating. But that is not the point right now.
The point is that when you use, or quote a phrase that you consider beautiful, despite the fact that its MEANING is offensive and insulting to many people, it is a breach of good manners, not to mention that it is a breach of your christian morality.
Besides, the gift of language was not given to human beings to prounounce beautiful sound combinations, regardless os what they may mean. Even animals do not produce sounds that have no meaning. Humans use language and speech to exchange ideas. Words are symbols. Each symbol has a meaning. a sentence is a collection of these symbols that produce a meaning. So when you say that you like phrases for the sound they make, and drat the meaning, it means that you are being a parrot, doesn't it?
