OMGosh Petros, you really are losing it. It's ok. I understand. We all have our issues.
Losing what? I'm not the one with blood on my hands

Yeah you do have issues. More issues than People Magazine.

It's called brainwashed.

A fuck tonne of money goes into covering up the deeds of the Synagogue of Satan's murderous ways with propaganda.

Kill kill kill....

Israel's official spending on "hasbara" (public diplomacy/PR/advocacy) is around $150 million for 2025 and roughly $730 million for 2026.

Why so much? What do they have to hide? Their hooves and horns?

The war is between Trump & Iran (& Israel I guess), anyway, regional leaders eager to stop another round of escalation in the Persian Gulf phoned Trump on Thursday and pressed him to call off the attacks, saying a deal was close at hand as long as he stopped the strikes and “held off on social media,” people familiar with the matter said.

They were shocked when Trump suddenly announced a deal had been done, they said. Countries that have been mediating the talks didn’t confirm Trump’s optimism in their formal comments. Qatar, a mediator, acknowledged progress in the talks but said they were continuing.

Egypt thanked the president for calling off the strikes he had threatened just hours earlier and said it hoped the combatants would seize the opening to strike a deal to end the war. Pakistan welcomed the progress that had been achieved. Happy Friday!!

Ok…maybe this one is real? The proposed memorandum of understanding calls for reopening the strait and lifting the U.S. naval blockade on Iranian ports, sources on all sides of the talks said. Negotiations over Iran's nuclear program - U.S. President Donald Trump's stated rationale for starting the war - would take place afterwards.
1781369062928.jpeg
A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told reporters on Friday that the deal met Trump's core objectives and put negotiations "in a very, very good place".
1781365673247.jpeg
Draft terms described to Reuters by multiple sources indicate the U.S. would begin releasing billions of dollars in frozen Iranian assets and waive sanctions on its oil exports, in return for Iran opening the strait.
1781367675613.jpeg
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Friday that while changes in the deal were still possible, the tentative agreement showed his country had emerged stronger from the conflict. "Iran is the winner of the war with the U.S.," he said on state television on Friday.
1781368087097.jpeg
Hours after those remarks, U.S. forces shot down multiple Iranian one-way attack drones ‌heading toward the Strait of Hormuz, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters. The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the drones had posed a threat to commercial traffic. U.S. Central Command later confirmed the action and said the waterway was open.
1781368944897.jpeg
Iran's nuclear program would be addressed during a 60-day period of talks. The U.S. official said the agreement would ultimately lead to the dismantling of Iran’s nuclear program, with its stockpile of highly enriched uranium to be destroyed and removed.

But Araqchi said that Iran, which sources said has not accepted the dismantling of its nuclear program, wanted to retain the uranium in diluted form.

The proposals also include discussion of possible war reparations for Tehran and dropping longstanding U.S. demands for limits on Iran's missile program, the sources said. The U.S. official disputed that account.

It’s enough to make one cynical…especially on a weekend when there are traditionally promises of a ceasefire or deal or end to this war happen leading up to Friday and the stock markets closing, & are blown to shit by Monday before the stock markets open.

Lockheed Martin, RTX (formerly Raytheon), Northrop Grumman, Shell, BP, TotalEnergies, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs for example have profited immensely from the last 105 days, were as the majority of the global population has suffered to one extent or another from it. Could just be a coincidence though.
There is no verified public ledger stating an exact dollar amount that Donald Trump and his family have profited specifically from the conflict with Iran over the last 105 days, and there never will be.😉

However, government watchdogs, media investigations, and congressional tracking initiatives have documented numerous highly lucrative business arrangements, defense contracts, and investments secured by the Trump family that directly overlap with the timeframe of the war.🤫
1781366870713.jpeg
Donald Trump’s Justice Department entered into a settlement agreement ending a $10 billion lawsuit he filed against the IRS over leaked tax returns. As an addendum to the deal, the DOJ issued an order permanently barring the IRS from pursuing, auditing, or prosecuting tax returns for Trump, his family, trusts, and related companies filed prior to the settlement, but that’s probably just a coincidence.

It is not the first time the two sides have appeared close to an initial agreement on ending the war that began on February 28 with joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran, but Sharif said on X: "We are closer to a peace deal than ever before."

Trump insisted on Saturday that he will sign a deal on Sunday, which also happens to be his 80th birthday.
An Iranian media outlet closely affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps criticized what it described as Trump’s “unusual insistence” on a Sunday signing, noting that Iranian officials had not endorsed the timeline and suggesting that the U.S. president was seeking to secure a deal that would coincide with his 80th birthday, which is also Sunday.

Pretty much the same & no change from yesterday…
On 8 October 2023, Hezbollah started firing guided rockets and artillery shells at Israeli positions in the Shebaa Farms, which it said was in solidarity with Palestinians following the 7 October Hamas-led attack on Israel and beginning of Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip. Israel retaliated against both Iranian proxies.

Airstrikes resumed on 2 March 2026 between Hezbollah and Israel following the 2026 Iran war (not the Lebanon or Lebanese war) and the killing of Ali Khamenei. Hezbollah resumed rocket strikes on Israel and Israel responded with airstrikes across Lebanon, including the capital Beirut.
Iran has insisted that any agreement to end the Middle East war also include the parallel conflict in Lebanon with its proxy Hezbollah. A US official said Friday that the deal on the table included Lebanon, which was drawn into the wider war when Hezbollah again fired rockets at Israel on March 2. Israel's military had reported that three drones, suspected to have been launched by Hezbollah, struck northern Israel on Sunday but caused no casualties. What does Israel (pattern recognition) do when it’s attacked? It retaliates.

The Israeli military said it had struck a Hezbollah infrastructure site, while Lebanese state media said a strike hit the Ghobeiry neighbourhood. Huh…could both be true? Netanyahu's office later said the military had carried out strikes in Beirut's southern suburbs against Hezbollah targets "in response to Hezbollah's firing towards Israeli territory". Also on Sunday, Israel's military issued evacuation warnings for 29 villages in southern Lebanon.
Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi shattered the long-standing French and European diplomatic illusion by explicitly stating that Hezbollah's political and military branches are a single, indivisible terrorist entity serving Iran, rather than separate wings.

For years, France has pressured the European Union to differentiate between Hezbollah's "military wing" (which is sanctioned) and its "political wing" (which is treated as a diplomatically respectable participant in the Lebanese government).

When appearing before the French Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee and on French television, Raggi explicitly told Paris that attempting to treat these branches as discrete entities is a total fiction. The distinction is primarily an external European construct; Hezbollah itself rejects the separation and functions as a unified command.

“Hezbollah’s weapons have lost their justification and usefulness, and the Lebanese state is determined to move forward with extending its sovereignty across all its territory. Lebanon is enduring difficult circumstances as a result of a war imposed on it in service of external agendas unrelated to its interests.”

A peace deal (or something that’s a basis for a peace deal eventually between the US and Iran has been reached, with both sides declaring “the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon”, according to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif?
Why is Pakistan’s Prime Minister announcing this? The precise terms of the deal were not immediately known. Sharif said the pact called for “the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon”.
Trump had previously suggested the US could sign an agreement with Iran on Sunday, but as the evening came in the Middle East, there was no sign of a breakthrough. Instead, Iranian officials threatened a military response to the Israeli retaliatory attack on Beirut against Hezbollah, which destroyed a building in the Lebanese capital’s southern suburbs, killing three and injuring six.
Trump told the Axios news site that the Israeli strike had “delayed the signing by a few hours” and said he had told the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, he had “no fucking judgment”. Israel said it had targeted senior Hezbollah commanders after the militant Islamist organisation – which has close links with Tehran – launched three projectiles into northern Israel.

What was Trumps reaction when Iran recently downed an American Helicopter? Did Trump coach turning the other cheek? Iran’s foreign ministry said it held the US responsible for Israel’s attack in Lebanon and warned of a “strong response” but did Iran accept responsibility for Hezbollah’s initiating attack on Israel?

Hezbollah is Iran's most heavily armed and strategically vital proxy in the Middle East. If a U.S.-Iran deal were implemented while Israel continued its retaliatory campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon, Iran would lose critical leverage in the region. Hezbollah has consistently supported Iran in regional disputes to the detriment of Lebanon itself. If Tehran abandoned its Lebanese ally during negotiations, it would severely damage its credibility and relationships within its "Axis of Resistance" network.

Iran’s top joint military command added that the “finger [is] on the trigger” and was ready to fire at the “enemy’s heart.“ The Iranians do not trust the Americans and are not convinced that the Americans will hold the Israelis in check. I don’t think the Iranians care about Lebanon but they do care about Hezbollah … and they have spoilers on their own side who don’t want a deal,” said HA Hellyer, a regional expert at the Royal United Services Institute thinktank in London.

Reaction in Israel to the broad outlines of the emerging deal has been sharp, with widespread concern at the absence of terms in the draft agreement that would force Iran to restrict either its ballistic missile arsenal or support for regional militant movements such as Hezbollah.

The framework for a MOU towards a peace agreement is suppose to include, according to the Iranian news agency Mehr, the draft agreement contains 14 points.

It includes: a permanent and immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon; the complete lifting of the naval blockade within 30 days; a US commitment to withdraw its forces from around Iran; and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

The draft also mentions the suspension of sanctions on oil sales, reaching a final agreement on nuclear issues within 60 days of signing the deal, and the release of $24bn in frozen Iranian assets during the 60-day negotiation period.

Mehr also reported that final negotiations would not begin until half of Iran’s frozen assets had been released and restrictions affecting the Strait of Hormuz had been lifted.

Discussions concerning Iran’s missile programme and its support for resistance groups have been removed from the negotiating agenda, it added.
Reaction in Israel to the broad outlines of the emerging deal has been sharp, with widespread concern at the absence of terms in the draft agreement that would force Iran to restrict either its ballistic missile arsenal or support for regional militant movements such as Hezbollah.
Al Jazeera could not independently confirm the details reported by Mehr.
The Iranian Embassy in Turkiye posted an image on its official X account of an Iranian flag planted on a rock motif over the Strait of Hormuz. “Welcome to the Middle East of a new era,” the post said.

The U.S. and Iran agreed to a framework extending their ceasefire for 60 days, with a formal signing ceremony expected Friday and nuclear talks to follow. The agreement “could” reopen the Strait of Hormuz, ease pressure on global energy markets and create a window for negotiations over Iran's nuclear program.

Trump should just bomb the hell out of Iran & be done with. Arm the civilians (the IDF could do that) and then get the hell out of dodge!!

Trump will aim to survive the dayslong gauntlet of meetings with world and business leaders without the embarrassment of further complications to what was already a grueling four-month diplomatic saga. Mediators will facilitate a series of technical meetings between the parties this week to pave the way for the Friday signing ceremony. Trump may seek to cap off the week by staying in Europe beyond the G-7, which ends Wednesday. The president may also return to Washington and send someone else in place, such as Vance, instead of extending his trip.
1781536270799.jpeg
The intervening period will be dogged by questions about the deal’s still-secret specifics, which have yet to be confirmed by all sides in public statements.
Further details will be sorted out in the next phase of negotiations, which is expected to last for roughly 60 days. That includes ironing out the process for destroying and disposing of Iran’s highly enriched uranium stockpile.

“Our expectation is that the strait is going to be opened in a toll-free way for the long term,🤔 and that’s the sort of thing that we’re going to figure out in these technical negotiations,” J.D. Vance said, adding that the U.S. has “all the cards” in the talks.🙄

American lawmakers are already angling to have their say in approving or scuttling the accord. Democrats who opposed the war met Trump’s announcement with tepid support in hopes of reopening the strait. But some Republicans, largely supportive of Trump, still signaled their reservations.

Under our law, any nuclear deal with Iran will be sent to Congress for review and a vote,” South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, a prominent Iran hawk and Trump ally, said in a social-media post Sunday. “I look forward to reviewing the final product and I believe it is imperative that the architect of the deal, Vice President Vance and his negotiating partners, be part of the process in presenting the final deal to Congress.”

The exact details of the agreement remain unclear but appear to explicitly include a ceasefire in Lebanon, where Israel launched a wide-ranging offensive after attacks on northern Israel by Hezbollah at the beginning of the 15-week-long conflict.
The U.S. and Iran agreed to a memorandum of understanding on Sunday to end their war after nearly four months. Stocks surged, while oil prices and bond yields fell, after the agreement was announced. The deal has not been signed, the text is unreleased and Israel is not party to the agreement.

The Strait of Hormuz isn't officially open yet, but both Trump and Iran's deputy foreign minister have said it would reopen Friday after the signing in Geneva. Trump's reaction to the agreement on Truth Social focused almost entirely on the strait, saying it would reopen without tolls.
1781566895166.jpeg
He posted on Truth Social: "I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!"

Iranian state news agency Mehr later reported the strait reopening would be subject to "Iranian arrangements." These negotiations could create a final peace settlement. Gharibabadi said that the 60-day nuclear negotiations could only begin if the U.S. releases billions of dollars in frozen Iranian funds. The U.S. dismissed the claim.

Just keeps getting weirder. A sitting senator cannot be impeached but can be expelled through a resolution that requires a two-thirds majority vote. Lawmakers and former President Obama have raised concerns with the deal, noting that it will likely mirror terms set through the JCPOA.
President Trump on Sunday called for the impeachment of Democratic Sen. Jack Reed (R.I.), after the lawmaker criticized his decision to pull out of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Trump’s first term.

“Senator Jack Reed, a Dumocrat from R.I., lied when stating the the Deal we just made is not as good as the Obama disaster known as the JCPOA. Reed is either an outright fraud, or incompetent,” Trump wrote in a Sunday post on Truth Social.

“The Obuma Deal was a road to a Nuclear weapon for Iran, cash and all, one of the worst and dumbest (hence Dumocrats!) Deals ever made by the U.S. Our Deal is a WALL against Iran ever having a Nuclear weapon, the complete opposite of Obuma. Impeach Jack Reed!” he added.
“The president does not like to be questioned in any way, shape or form, which is bad for an executive,” Reed told reporters Monday in response to Trump’s post online, according to local news outlet WPRI.

“Executives — the good ones — listen to criticism and then rationally dispose of or concur with it. That was just a tirade by someone who was upset.”

He added, “And I think he was upset because there was a lot of truth in my statement. We don’t have a deal yet — we have a deal to make a deal.”

Obama sent a shit load of money to Iran which was why they were able to support their proxies. Trump is not! Big difference. Hopefully, the gulf states will ensure that the money they provide for the rebuild go to exactly that & not to rearming. We'll see I guess.

Iran’s top diplomat said Tuesday that the tentative deal to end the war with the United States would require Israel to withdraw from Lebanon — a condition Israel has already rejected and that could sink the agreement, leading to the resumption of all-out war.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Israel’s continued occupation of southern Lebanon would violate the deal. “Without the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the territories they occupied during this war, the war has not fully come to an end,” Araghchi said.

A U.S. official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss outlines of the agreement, has said the deal does not call for an Israeli withdrawal. And Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that Israel would remain in Lebanon “as long as necessary.” Glad they’ve got that sorted out.
