This isn't just another kooky president, but an obtuse, senile megalomaniac who is in love with authoritarianism and answers to no one except the voices in his head, which all tell him that he's not just the greatest, but stupendously-very-very-outstandingly-really really-great. His fucking cheese slid off his cracker, and now he is so out of touch with reality that he stands to not only fuck up his own country, which I must say is going swimmingly, but the Western world as well. Plenty are hoping that nature will take its course, and he'll clutch his chest and finally fucking shut up. Not that the man makes much sense.
Anyway, he'll be gone with by nature, ballistic or what I personally hope he gets, which is flesh-eating disease of the mouth. A lot to wish for, I know, but when I look at what this president is doing and not just with Canada but with Nato, his uber ineptitude offers our enemies an opportunity to expand.
Trump'scomments about our armed forces were not taken lightly. I lost two of my soldiers on the same weekend. One of them is in his early 20s; the other is a father of kids aged 2 to 5. I looked in those kids' eyes, not much younger than my own. I remember the names of our fallen in Afghanistan and Iraq, and in Bosnia and Croatia and Kosovo.. couldn't rattle them all off, but all are familiar. I held my breath every time word got out about a fatality coming from KAF, where my son was on tour. My boy spent a good deal of weeks on ramp duty. My brother's kid saw his buddy vaporized by an IED. They retrieved part of his hand and arm. My nephew came back scarred from what was one of the bloodiest tours in Afghanistan. I knew Nicholla Goddard, not well, but she was in my regiment. In that ambush, a soldier I put through battle school, executed great courage and saved a group of soldiers pinned down in a blown-up APC while killing the suicide bomber crawling toward them. There would have been plenty more casualties that day, if not for the bravery of these Canadian Soldiers, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice cut deep in our hearts.
I guess my point is that the CAF, while not the monster the USA armed forces, ours is a family, and when we lose one, we take it hard. What Trump said about Canadian soldiers was the greatest insult bestowed upon my brothers and sisters in the CAF. But the man has no scruples, no class, and no understanding of loyalty, honor, or brotherhood.
He couldn't sign up because he had shin splints. Newsflash, all soldiers get shin splints; the wimps don't make it.
What he said was indefensible, and as far as I'm concerned, the sooner he's gone, the better. I dare you to find a Canadian vet or soldier who thinks differently. And they'll take lead poisoning because the piece of shit is dangerously stupid.
Can the USA be saved?
I hope so, but those in his cult want to burn it all down.
