A bit surprised to see the Riders 3.5 point favorites heading into the Grey Cup and wonder if it's not sentiment driving the odds. Either way I jumped on Montreal paying 2.3 to win and will hope that pays off.

I think the Riders are the better team. But they are also theoretically the home team as the western representative. In the NFL being home team with all else being equal is usually good for a 3 point favourite. CFL likely similar. So the real odds are just SK by 0.5.

Hell, I didn't even know it was possible to score half a point in CFL.

I don't think we do that down hereabouts.

It's rare than the single point in the NFL (which is actually possible).
I've noticed a blend of rules happening little by little. NFL now has a "procedures" penalty for example which has me thinking "taking a knee" or "no yards" on a kick reception is next after we make the grid and upright changes on our side of the border.

I hope they don't do no yards. It's a horrible concept and usually mangled by the officials. I like the NFL punting rules better.
