Like you I’m just following this and not participating. That doesn’t seem to be on the dance card at this point, but stopping the current goat rodeo first is.
This is the one that’s been focussed on first.
Why not solve the cause first? I wouldn't dis arm until they're disarmed.
You’re asking the wrong guy, because like yourself, I am also just following along and not a participant in these negotiations.

Maybe about Oct 6th 2023 your idea could’ve been first on the dance card, but by noon on Oct 7th 2023, it wasn’t anymore.

Your question would be best asked of Hamas & Bibi & Orange Jesus & the many many mediators that may or may not be trying to wind this up quickly or even at all.

Hamas (& its appendages) do have the option of not disarming. I heard that was part of the either/or choice last Monday. Hamas (& its military wing) can choose not to disarm, and if so, then Israel comes in and cleans that out with US backing. I think that’s what was said a week ago today?

That’s so last week though, and Trump could’ve flip-flopped on that, which wouldn’t be surprising at all, but then next week he could flip back, and then the week after he could flop the other way, and so on and so forth…kind of like an unpredictable metronome.

Well, this does just keep getting weirder and weirder.
Did the Italian PM offend Greta’s Flotilla?

Speaking in an interview with state television company RAI, Meloni said Defence Minister Guido Crosetto and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani had been denounced, and "I think" also Roberto Cingolani, the head of defence group Leonardo <LDOF.MI.

In other remarks, Meloni said she believed that US President Donald Trump had come to the conclusion that Russia was not interested in a peace deal with Ukraine.

Put over a knee and spanked?
Well, doesn’t seem to be covered with Bedbugs bites or bruises from manhandling…& for not being able to change her clothing for 2-3 days and wearing a white shirt? It’s still white…while having to sleep on the floor in a dirty cell, etc…
1759886525954.jpeg
And she’s already back out in social media:
1759886690032.jpeg
And still not understanding how little she understands about the situation, or how much of a useful idiot she actually is…

But the Italian PM that offered to take the flotillas ‘aid’ to Gaza and in turn was then accused of sabotaging “the mission,” is now reported to the ICC for complicity in genocide, but no word of anyone at the Vatican facing the same fate yet.

Toronto high school scolded for playing Arabic O Canada on Oct. 7
Education Minister Paul Calandra warns incident at Earl Haig Secondary School better not happen again

Author of the article:Joe Warmington
Published Oct 07, 2025 • Last updated 13 hours ago • 3 minute read

Saying he doesn’t “believe” it was accidental, Ontario’s education minister lambasted a Toronto high school Tuesday for playing an Arabic version of O Canada as Jewish students mourned the second anniversary of the barbaric mass murders of Oct. 7.

Education Minister Paul Calandra has warned it had better never happen again.

Yes, that was the Canadian national anthem students and staff were standing to Tuesday at Earl Haig Secondary School in North York on the sombre day of Oct. 7 and Calandra was not buying any excuse it was an accident.

“It is hard to believe that no one recognized the significance of this day, where the world recognizes the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack perpetrated against the Jewish people since the Holocaust,” said a clearly upset Calandra. “This further underscores that school boards should be focused on creating safe learning environments for all students, never at the expense of one community over another.”

Since, by law, the anthem is to be sung, performed or played in one of Canada’s two official languages, French or English, having O Canada in Arabic played over the loudspeakers to start off a high school day was already controversial.

But to do it on the anniversary of the slaughter by Hamas terrorists in Israel was outright cruelty toward Jewish students in the school.

One parent of a Jewish student there told the Toronto Sun their child was “completely shaken up” since, in addition to playing the alternate anthem in Arabic, school officials “couldn’t bring themselves to say the word Jewish or Israel and explain that two years ago from this date was the greatest massacre of Jews since the holocaust.”

The parent added Jewish kids feel “they need to hide their religion because even their own leaders aren’t comfortable acknowledging them and makes them feel ashamed of who they are.”

The Ministry of Education and the Toronto District School Board are investigating.

This incident collided not only with the Oct. 7 day of remembrance for 1,200 Israelis, Canadians and foreign nationals slayed in cold blood by Hamas militants using hang gliders to get across the wall to attack a music festival and a kibbutz, but it also fell on the high holiday of Sukkot.

It’s estimated there are up to 100 Jewish students who attend the school that is home to 2,048 students.

“This was, at best, insensitive,” wrote former MP and Israel advocate Kevin Vuong on social-media platform X. He was also worried the anthem was “intentionally meant to cause distress and harm to their Jewish students.”

As of this point, it’s unknown what the thinking was.

While there are some suggesting it was accidental, Calandra rightfully told the school to save the excuses for the naive. The school, which is part of the TDSB and under provincial supervision, is not getting a pass on this one.

Calandra warned them, and all other Ontario schools, to never play an altered version of O Canada again.

“I am disappointed that I would have to direct that school boards demonstrate appropriate respect for our National Anthem by ensuring that it is played only in its official form,” said Calandra, adding the “federal National Anthem Act sets out that the official lyrics are in English or French, and if school boards choose not to respect our national symbols and federal legislation, then I will take action.”

Saying he “applauds the minister for speaking out forcefully on the matter,” Meir Weinstein of Israel Now said the “decision by Earl Haig school to broadcast the Canadian Anthem on Oct. 7 must be investigated because it can be interpreted as an endorsement of the Hamas slaughter of Israelis.”

This was not the only concerning incident to occur in a GTA high school on Oct. 7. Both St. Aloysius Gonzaga Catholic Secondary School and John Fraser Secondary School saw students protesting with Palestinian flags and banging drums on the very day that too many Jews were slain or taken hostage.

It’s mind-boggling how high school students are permitted to leave class to insensitively protest against another race, religion or country. It would not be tolerated, and should not be tolerated, if someone protested against students of Palestinian background for what happened during the evil attack on Oct. 7, 2023.

If students want to protest Israel’s response to the terror event, they should be reminded that they can do that on their own time and not on school premises.

But one thing made abundantly clear by Calandra is what happened with this Arabic version of the Canadian anthem being played on Oct. 7 or any other date is unacceptable.

Probably just another coincidence? The Palestinian advocacy group behind the complaint naming Meloni is calling for the court to assess the possibility of opening a formal investigation into the charge of genocide against the Italian prime minister, AFP also reported.

The ICC has outstanding arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant over charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, including starvation, murder and persecution.

However, neither Netanyahu nor Gallant has been charged with genocide specifically?

?????

Then more fuckery to interfere with the peace process again…
Last week Israel intercepted about 40 vessels and detained more than 450 activists including the Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg. Some activists have alleged being subjected to physical and verbal abuse by Israeli forces and being denied medical care during their detention, etc…

Support for Hamas from young generation alarming
Harvard-Harris survey reveals that nearly half of Gen Z support Hamas over Israel.

Yuval Miranda and Katya Emelianova cry as they embrace next to the photographs of Israelis who were killed in the deadly Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack on Israel, at a memorial marking the two year anniversary of the assault, in Tel Aviv, Israel, Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025.
“Truth is the first casualty of war.”

Of course.

Everyone knows that one. You hear it all the time. But — good God Almighty — that latest Harvard-Harris poll: there perhaps has never been better evidence of the war-murders-truth proposition, perhaps ever. Not even since the Greek playwright Aeschylus wrote those words, some 3,000 years ago.

The Harvard-Harris survey landed on our computer screens on Oct. 7, and was issued by the university’s respected Center for American Political Studies. Nearly 2,500 registered voters were contacted at the start of the month, and the results are considered to be accurate 95% of the time. The poll covered the mood of the country, Trump, economy, jobs, and so on.

It was the answers to the “Israel and Gaza” questions, however, that were — and this word is used too much by those of us in the media, but it applies in this case — shocking. Really, truly shocking.

The Harvard-Harris numbers can’t be easily dismissed, either, international law expert Elliot Malin noted, because Harvard-Harris has “consistently been the only pollster asking questions on Israel-Hamas over the last two years.” So they have what pollsters like to call a “baseline” or “benchmark,” and are therefore much more accurate.

Here is a sampling of what Harvard-Harris found:

– Nearly half of Gen Z — those from ages 18 to 24 — support Hamas over Israel. Almost 40% of Millennials — ages 25 to 34 — support the terror group over Israel.

– Over 40% of Gen Z oppose Hamas releasing the hostages they took on Oct. 7, 2023. A third of Millennials feel the same way.

– Over 60% of Gen Z oppose Trump’s peace plan, which is supported by every Arab nation in the region, and just about every country on Earth. Nearly 50% of Millennials oppose the peace plan.

– Sixty per cent of Gen Z falsely believe Israel has actually rejected Trump’s peace plan. And 45% of Millennials have somehow concluded the same thing.

– Forty per cent of Gen Z think Hamas should reject the peace plan. And almost 30% want Israel “ended,” and power simply handed over to Hamas/Palestinians.

Those who identify as Democrats aren’t as bad as Gen Z or the Millennials, but they’re still pretty bad: One-third of them, for example, support Hamas over Israel. (Sixteen per cent of Republicans feel that way.)

But it is young people, young Americans, who have bought into a monstrous lie. A stunning number of them support Hamas, oppose peace, and want Israel wiped off the map.

At this point, some of you may be attempting to convince yourself that Canadian youth aren’t as misguided. But that would be a mistake. As I note in my forthcoming Penguin Random House book, The Hidden Hand, polls conducted right after Oct. 7 found the same depressing results here: more than one-third of Canadian Gen Z supported, or strongly supported, the destruction of Israel.

Forty-one per cent of Canadian Gen Z sided with Hamas, and the killing of innocent Jews. One-third of Gen Z and Millennials supported targeting Canadian Jews with violence.

In Europe, it was same thing: the younger a respondent was, the more likely he or she supported antisemitism, conspiracy theories and terror.

When I first saw these horrible, terrible numbers, I turned to experts to convince me that they were somehow wrong. One of them, University of Toronto professor Robert Brym, analyses polls and publishes polls.

“It’s pretty worrisome,” Brym said to me. Young people have embraced the false notion that Israel is “a case of colonization by imperialistic white people over darker-skinned individuals,” Brym said.

Bad parenting, lousy teachers, biased media: all have played a role in turning young people away from the truth. And all of it has been super-charged by social media, Brym and so many others told me. Because that is where young people now get their “truth” — from social media, where Hamas and its axis dominate, and where Israel isn’t even a factor.

It was 3,000 years ago, give or take, so the Greek playwright named Aeschylus didn’t know that TikTok and Instagram were going to take over the world, one day. But they have.

And truth is the first and main casualty.

Humanity, too.

Hamas has recalled about 7,000 members of its security forces to reassert control over areas of Gaza recently vacated by Israeli troops, according to local sources.

The Palestinian group also appointed five new governors all with military backgrounds, some of whom previously commanded brigades in its armed wing.

The mobilization order was reportedly issued via phone calls and text messages which said the aim was to "cleanse Gaza of outlaws and collaborators with Israel" and told fighters to report within 24 hours, ‘cuz peace, etc…&…not to have any involvement in the governance of Gaza going forward.

The Hamas mobilisation had been widely anticipated amid growing uncertainty about who will govern Gaza once the war ends.
Hamas is pressing Israel to include prominent Palestinians in a prisoner-release list - part of a ceasefire deal that will also see hostages returned from Gaza.

Hamas's insistence comes after the Israeli justice ministry published the names of 250 prisoners to be freed, but excluded seven high-profile prisoners, including Marwan Barghouti and Ahmad Saadat.

The men, who are serving sentences after being convicted of involvement in separate deadly attacks in Israel, have long been seen by Palestinians as symbols of resistance.

Twenty Israeli hostages are expected to be released before 12:00 (09:00 GMT) on Monday as part of the deal proposed by US President Donald Trump.
Israel will also release about 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences in Israeli jails, and another 1,700 Palestinians from Gaza who have been detained since Oct 7th, 2023.

The BBC understands that Hamas is also pushing for some possible additional prisoner releases. These relate to Palestinian prisoners who were released years ago as part of an exchange for the hostage Gilad Shalit - and then were rearrested after 7 October.

Hamas argues that since they were part of a previous hostage exchange, they should not be included in the 250 figure. Israel's war on Gaza was triggered by the Hamas-led attacks on southern Israel on 7 October 2023, in which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 taken hostage. "Hamas hasn't changed. It still believes that weapons and violence are the only means to keep its movement alive," a retired security officer who served for years with the Palestinian Authority in Gaza said.

"Gaza is flooded with arms. Looters have stolen thousands of weapons and rounds of ammunition from Hamas stores during the war, and "This is a perfect recipe for civil war: weapons, frustration, chaos, and a movement desperate to reassert control over a shattered and exhausted population."

What are those 20 points in this peace plan that Israel was forced to agree with in its entirety again?

The American military isn’t expected to head into the Gaza Strip — but rather coordinate troops that will come from Egypt, Qatar and Turkey, and manage any heightened tensions with the Israelis.

Part of its role following President Trump’s peace agreement between Israel and Hamas has been described as making sure there are no violations or incursions from either side.

Hamas is going after the Isis drug dealer guy and his crew that Bibi hired to "protect" aid deliveries. They've been deemed collaborators with Israel and are being shot.

Its not random civilians as the hasbara will portray or is being is portrayed in the "executions" situation in Gaza.

Forced? Ya that kinda happens when leadership is up on war crime charges for genocide and crimes against humanity.

You’re of course talking about “both” (or all, like Iran and Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad and Houthis and so on and so forth) sides in this goat rodeo, right?

Israel had to accept all (as in “all”) 20 points in Trumps peace plan, vs Hamas (& friends) accepting what so far?

Hamas official and co-founder Mousa Abu Marzouk lost his temper during an interview on the Pan-Arabic Ghad TV channel on Friday night after being asked questions he claimed were disrespectful.

Abu Marzouk, who lives in Qatar, tried to justify the terror organization’s crimes by saying that Hamas “fulfilled its national duty.” At that point, the journalist asked: “Was what you did on October 7 to lead the Palestinians to liberation?”

He then demanded from the interviewer: “Please, at least make your questions respectful.”

The journalist calmly continued, “I am asking you the questions that are being asked on the streets of Palestine, by the residents of Gaza.”
At that point, Marzouk lost his temper and began to shout: “These are your questions! Show some respect for yourself. I don’t want to talk to you. I don’t want to see you. Cut it out. Cut it out. Go to hell!”

Commentators in Arab media said that Marzouk's reaction is a sign of tension within the terrorist organization that has grown throughout its war with Israel. According to the commentators, the incident also highlights the widening rift between Hamas leadership and the majority of Arabs.

A digitalized copy of Yahya Sinwar’s six-page handwritten memo explicitly calling for Hamas to target Israeli civilians ahead of the October 7 invasion, the New York Times reported on Saturday.

The memo was found on a computer unconnected to any network in an underground complex used by Sinwar while he was in hiding.

The letter, dated August 24, 2022, includes directives written in Arabic to target both military and civilian targets, seven Israeli officials told the NYT.

The American newspaper, which viewed the letter, reported that Hamas was instructed to broadcast the atrocities committed during the invasion to evoke fear and a feeling of instability across the Jewish state.

“It needs to be affirmed to the unit commanders to undertake these actions intentionally, film them, and broadcast images of them as fast as possible,” the memo said.

“Document the scenes of horror, now, and broadcast them on TV channels to the whole world,” a commander from Gaza City called Abu al-Baraa told operatives in the area of Kibbutz Sa’ad, according to a message intercepted by Israel. “Slaughter them. End the children of Israel.”🤔

Similar instructions had also been issued by commanders then issued on Oct. 7, according to hours of previously unreported communications between commanders and subordinates intercepted by Israel during the assault and shared with the NYT.

In the early days of the war, Hamas denied targeting civilians and claimed to have taken women and children hostage for their own safety.

The majority of the children were released in a November 2023 deal, though the bodies of the young Bibas brothers and their mother, Shiri, were not released for over a year. It was discovered that the family, except father Yarden Bibas, were beaten to death by Palestinians shortly after their abduction.

While Sinwar’s instructions did not include taking civilians hostage, it ordered terrorists to enter residential neighborhoods and set them on fire “with gasoline or diesel from a tanker.”

“Two or three operations, in which an entire neighborhood, kibbutz, or something similar will be burned, must be prepared,” the memo said.

An intercepted message from a Hamas commander revealed that the directive was followed on October 7.

Abu Muhammed, a Hamas commander from Gaza City, told subordinates: “Start setting homes on fire.”

“Burn, burn,” he said, according to the intercepts. “I want the whole kibbutz to be in flames.”

“Set fire to anything,” a Hamas Commander, Abu al-Abed, said around the same time.

Hamas Commander Abu Muath instructed terrorists to “Kill everyone on the road…Kill everyone you encounter” in one intercepted message. “Guys, take a lot of hostages…Take a lot of hostages.”

The memo also called for acts of cruelty to be carried out against Israeli soldiers, focusing on painful and symbolic acts.

“Stomp on the heads of soldiers,” it said.

It listed “opening fire on soldiers at point-blank range, slaughtering some of them with knives, blowing up tanks.”

Izzat al-Rishq, the Qatar-based director of Hamas’s media office, refused to comment on the New York Times report.

Talking about it and going for Greater Israel from the "Euphrates to the Nile" killing 30,000 children isn't wrong and comparable?

Oct 7 was about 58 years of occupation and terrorism upon Palestinians. A justifiable uprising.

What did you think this "goat rodeo" was about? Religion? Which one?

Explain why in your own words detail please.

Proverbial cannon shot directed at Jewish students on Guelph campus
University of Guelph officials determined painting the famous Old Jeremiah cannon in Palestinian colours on Oct. 7 violated school policies

This was a shot over the bow for Jewish students attending the University of Guelph on Oct. 7.

Here’s some Cannon fodder stemming from the war in Gaza coming from that normally non-news-making campus.

Who would have thought?

Let’s just say this was a loud blast from the famous War of 1812 cannon on campus that went from its usual fun to being insensitive and inappropriate – and drawn into the Israel-Gaza war.

1,200 were murdered Oct. 7
It seems on the two-year anniversary of the Oct. 7 Black Sabbath slayings of 1,200 innocent people on the Israel-Gaza border, someone took the usual tradition of “painting the cannon” – known as Old Jeremiah – at Branion Plaza and painted it Palestinian green, white and red.

“Speaking as a loyal Canadian who served in the Canadian Army for 40 years, wearing the Canadian flag proudly on my uniform especially overseas, I am furious that foreign hatred has been imported into Canada,” retired officer Mark Bossi said. “That isn’t my concept of what Canada stands for. I’m simply outraged that they did this on October 7th.”

In some ways, Bossi and others feel it’s even worse than what happened with playing O Canada in Arabic at a North York high school because that is being called unintentional while this was clearly intentional.

This was an anonymous statement
Normally the cannon is painted as part of school spirit and often in conjunction with Guelph Gryphon’s games.

This time, when it doesn’t just show the colours but has Palestine scrawled right on the canon, it was a statement. But to the university’s credit, they got on it right away.

“Early on October 7, the Campus Safety Office (CSO) was notified that the cannon had been painted with some elements that potentially violated the University’s community guidelines governing this tradition,” spokesperson Danny Williamson said. “Upon review of those guidelines, some elements were deemed to be in violation and were painted over in gold.”

Williamson explained the “University of Guelph has a long tradition of students painting the cannon” but “reserves the right to paint over the cannon if messages or images are deemed harmful or go against community guidelines.”

That’s what happened here.

But sources say it has since been repainted several times with more fun themes.

Probably figured accurately that if they cut and ran, the Israelis wouldn't actually fire on them. Too much bad press.
One boat, the Mikeno, was reported to have escaped the maritime blockade and to have stopped inside Palestinian territorial waters near Gaza’s coast before contact with the vessel was lost.

The Israeli foreign ministry confirmed that ‘‘one last boat of the provocation remains in the distance.’’

‘‘If it approaches,” it added, “its attempt to enter an active combat zone and break the blockade will also be prevented.”
Well, this is interesting. As these flotilla ‘activists’ return to their home countries, look at the greeting the Australian ‘activists’ are getting.

Yuval Shany, an expert on international law at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, said that as long as Israel’s blockade of Gaza was “militarily justified” – meant to keep out weapons – and a ship intended to break the siege, Israel could intercept the vessel after prior warning.

Israel's foreign ministry stated that "These individuals, who arrived under the guise of 'humanitarian aid,' made it clear - through their actions, their rejection of all proposals by Israel, Italy, and Greece to peacefully transfer the aid, and the small quantity of aid they actually carried on their boats - that their true goal was provocation in the service of Hamas, not humanitarian assistance."
This could just be another coincidence though. With “phase 1” of the Peace Plan in effect, you’d think the anti-Israel pro-Hamas protesters would be…not protesting at this point, but that doesn’t seem to be the case?

Tens of thousands joined a pro-Palestinian rally in Sydney on Sunday, organisers said, one of dozens of demonstrations across Australia, with some protesters expressing scepticism a ceasefire in Israel's two-year-old assault in Gaza would hold.
The Gaza ceasefire appeared to be holding early on Sunday and Israeli troops had pulled back under the first phase of a U.S.-brokered agreement to end the war, which has killed tens of thousands and left much of the narrow enclave in ruins since the war in Gaza erupted when militants of the Palestinian militant group Hamas killed 1,200 Israelis in an attack on October 7, 2023.
