We see pictures of the interior of the White House wherein old Donnie is installed a lot of gold on the walls and fixtures. I suggest to the American people that they get an inventory of these items as when Donnie leaves would he be able to take them with him? At the same time, I suggest that he can get the gold items delivered to the White House today, take half, three quarters of them home today, without anyone noticing. That way he can get even.

You can't cross borders on a visa.

But wouldn't a trucker from Canada, working in the US by delivering goods, need a worker's visa to do so?

I don't know which is why I'm wondering if that is the case then it falls to non-white truckers from Canada no longer being safe to go to the US.

Yes. They need at least PR to get the cdn passport to get a US work permit.

So they could be banned from 'working' in the US too then - cause I can't see it just being a 'people coming to the US from another country' excuse.
I need to clarify. We are talking TFWs on visas working toward permanent resident or naturalized citizens? TFWS can be sent home at any time. Canada or US Its the same.

Now if an immigrant were to come to Canada or US as a business investor/owner it's a fast track to a PR/Green Card. So if they lease a couple trucks, get an EB Visa and start a logistics company they can sponsor, hire and house prospective immigrant drivers. The training they get is questionable, truck maintenance non-existent and slave wages for 2 years.

US or Canadian Gov't can say "whoa" that's enough on that specific TFW job category at any time.

But voting blocs in certain ridings can virtually guarantee seats ,best not rock that boat .

Thank you for clarifying.

From the sounds of it, this is just anyone who is an immigrant wanting to go drive trucks in the US, or that is what a company has asked someone outside the US to come and do, will be denied. But maybe it's not like that, just seemed so from Little Marco's post.

I’m not in DC, & you’re not in DC, but I think Tec is in DC. Is he seeing National Guardsmen on the streets of DC???

Declaring that Washington is overrun by crime and plagued by homeless people, President Donald Trump has deployed 800 National Guard troops, as well as (?) ordering a federal takeover of the city’s police department. CTV might not be in DC either though.
Yep. They're out in Georgetown and the U Street corridor. Just not in Southeast.

National Guard and all the three-letter Federal agencies.
I’m assuming those aren’t the high crime rate areas?
Trump has said Chicago and New York are most likely his next targets, eliciting strong pushback from Democratic leaders in both states. The Washington Post reported on Saturday that the Pentagon has spent weeks preparing for an operation in Chicago that would include national guard troops and potentially active-duty forces.

Asked about the Post report, the White House pointed to Trump’s earlier comments discussing his desire to expand his use of military forces to target local crime.

“I think Chicago will be our next,” Trump told reporters at the White House on Friday, adding, “And then we’ll help with New York.”

Trump has repeatedly described some of the nation’s largest cities – run by Democrats, with Black mayors and majority-minority populations – as dangerous and filthy. Mayor Brandon Scott of Baltimore is Black, as is Moore. The District of Columbia and New York also have Black mayors.

Spot on. Northwest and the U Street corridor are what we used to call "yuppie" areas. . . predominantly White, professional, and well-off.

Southeast, aka Anacostia, is predominantly Black and Brown, and poor. I imagine that for many DC Guardsmen, they've lived their entire lives in DC, and this is the first time they got north of K Street.

I assumed as much. I was only familiar with Georgetown from books & movies, but it sounds quite affluent, so I assumed the other areas were similar, & thus my question. This is all optics then? Put the soldiers or whatever around federal buildings & monuments for tourist photo ops and keep them away from the DC equivalent of Heritage or North Central as we would relate to them?
