Unlikely. But only 2 losses behind Montreal is good.
When we gave up 14 points on first 2 BC drives stopping no plays (although one should have been an INT off deflection -- not sure how that BC receiver wound up with it). Then our defence played well enough for our offence to overtake. Once we were ahead, it seemed BC's offence fizzled. I think that comes down to QB.
Looked like a great day and another fun time. The crowd was loud and the team played well.
Argos owned the trenches on both sides and Arbuckle is a fantasy monster. Add Brissett to the list of players having a good year as well and can't take Herslow out of the lineup now either with his play. Lastly they were able to run the ball although that might say more about the Lions than the Argos. No doubt the win was a huge sigh of relief for the whole team.
Guaranteed slobber knocker next week in Hamilton.
Nothing like blowing $1500 or so on going to Calgary for the weekend to see your team get blown out. The long quiet ride home is the best part. No points in the second half won't win many games.
Seriously though Trevor Harris ain't the man and they should be playing Jake Maier. It will be interesting to see if Harris is good to go next week when his leadership is most needed. Either way the Riders should still win at home over Winnipeg. Lauther will be the hero or the goat.
